About AbanteCart

AbanteCart is an open source e-commerce solution for small and midsize businesses that helps users create online stores to sell products and services. Key features include HTML5 responsive templates, catalog management, a discount coupons system, multi-store management, a shopping cart feature, channel management and SEO management.

AbanteCart lets users configure the images, categories and products that appear on their site. Multi-store capabilities allow users to manage multiple stores from a single platform. On the customer management side, AbanteCart offers a discount coupon system, customer account management and order monitoring by email and text message notification.

AbanteCart supports various payment options including Stripe, PayPal, MOLPay, BitcoinPay and SagePay. Shipping partners include FedEx, UPS, USPS, Royal Mail, Canada Post and more.

Support is available through an online user forum and knowledge base, as well as via email.

Best PHP shopping cart I have used

This software is easy to use and works very well, we have been using it for over two years and have never encountered any problem with it, there have been no security breaches since using this software whereas our previous shopping cart system had.

Pros:

This software's default theme fit our business nicely so I had to do very little customising, the features included without needing to use plugins are more than most shopping carts I have used in the past (I have tried all PHP based systems).

Cons:

Not the software's fault but not many plugins are available, I guess due to not being so popular yet, other than that I can't think of any downsides.

Reasons for choosing AbanteCart

Having used all the others they all had different issues that I could not find easy solutions for, Abantecart had all the features we needed and the default theme fit our store so it was fate.

Pros:

You can use AbanteCart for any type of store, and can fully customize it with a great collection of modules and themes. The best experience you can have with this software is that you can host it anywhere, being a not that resource hungry software. It has a clean an easy dashboard for administrators, and you can edit all the settings easily

Cons:

The software is free, but the modules can rack up, if you try to build a good and very up to date ecommerce solution for your customers.

Good But Needs Small Changes

AbanteCart is good software on which to build a online store. I do enjoy it, however i find that it has a few minor weaknesses that need to be taken into consideration. With the constant changing economy and the currencies fluctuating in their exchange values regularly, there needs to be a more automated way to update the currencies from a central server. This way admins don't have to log in every 15 mins to consistently change this detail to avoid losses. A few free templates to assist users in having options in making their store look good is always good. AbanteCart has a block that provides the user with an option to say thank you to abantecart to advertise their product as well.

As a web developer, I was able to create an extension payment for one of our customers in no time. AbanteCart is very easy to extend. I was surprised how easy was to create my own extension payment.

Lack of documentation. Basically, I had to check other created extension payments in order to build mine.

I'm using the free version, and it seems it has everything even for its free users... You have a big heart. I hope it will continue and you are not going to cut anything for us. Second the best part of this wonderful utility is it's admin interface. Very easy to use and human friendly. I give you a five start without any hesitation.

Cons:

Some difficulty I have faced in user management specially when disabling and deleting users. But overall it's a fantastic tool.

If you use AbanteCart anyone can sell products or services online to anyone you can reach on the internet. Everyone knows that most people now prefer shopping online .

Excellent Application for E Commerece
