About Flodesk

Flodesk is an email management solution that helps businesses streamline processes related to email designing, workflow creation, content management, and more on a centralized platform. It enables staff members to create and embed multilingual popup opt-in forms across business websites and Shopify pages.

Flodesk allows team members to create emails with custom images, GIFs, fonts, videos, numbered lists, logos, and other template elements. With the built-in email analytics tools, employees can monitor sent emails, deliverability rates, bounces, unsubscribes, click-through rates, and overall customer engagement. It lets users set up triggers to automatically send pre-designed emails at specific intervals. Additionally, marketing professionals can schedule emails, rename titles, duplicate templates, create content folders, and segment audiences, whilst maintaining compliance with GDPR guidelines.

Flodesk Makes Email Marketing Feel Like Art, Not Effort

I love the simplicity of Flodesk. I’m not tech-savvy, yet I can comfortably use the platform. Even when I don’t know how to do certain things, there are always excellent resources available to guide me, and their customer service is fantastic — warm, supportive, and quick to respond. The beautifully designed templates make customization effortless, so everything can reflect my brand. It’s clear that every aspect of Flodesk is thoughtfully built and visually stunning. I also love that the platform keeps evolving — each new update feels like waking up on Christmas morning. The learning curve is virtually nonexistent. Whenever I get stuck, the support team guides me step by step until I succeed. Everything flows naturally and intuitively, making it easy to stay confident and productive. My favorite feature is the Poll function. It allows me to connect with my audience in a simple, engaging way. Creating polls takes seconds, and I can download the results instantly, making communication feel personal and fun. Managing and segmenting my audience is also incredibly easy, which is especially helpful during launch periods when organization is key. The platform makes it effortless to see who’s engaging and tailor my emails accordingly. Flodesk truly feels like a tool built for small business owners who want both simplicity and sophistication.
Cons:
I wish I could use the checkout page to sell different products with various pricing tiers. The great thing is that this feature might be available in the future and I’m really looking forward to it. Honestly, there’s nothing else to complain about with Flodesk.

I did not love the templates at all. Also I did not like how they changed pricing based on the subscribers numbers.

It's so easy to use, and so intuitive to design with. And getting better every day. I really like the integrations with Unsplash and Canva for evocative images to really make the emails shine.
Cons:
The only draw back so far has been sales tax integration but I know that's underway, and I'm looking forward to that so I can use Flodesk for even more of my business!

Reasons for switching to Flodesk

At the time, Mailchimp was so frustrating to design with, and so expensive to grow with.

The FIRST email platform that doesn’t make me want to scream

I run multiple large communities and products, and Flodesk is the first tool that keeps up without adding stress. It’s simple without being basic, powerful without being bloated, and delivers reliably. It’s the only email platform I’ve ever actually enjoyed using - and I’ve used them all. Our decision to leave MailChimp has saved us SO much money, time, and heartache, and I rarely evangelize about ANYTHING, but Flodesk is my secret weapon that I'm willing to share with everyone!!!

Flodesk is the only email platform I’ve used that feels genuinely modern and actually enjoyable. The interface is clean, intuitive, and not buried under 47 mystery menus. I can design beautiful emails in minutes, automation is straightforward, and everything just works without fuss. It saves me hours every week and makes my emails look like I hired a designer.
Cons:
There is no built-in RSS feature yet. That’s literally the only thing I miss. Otherwise, it’s SUCH a dream.

More features for the money, better documentation, better UX/UI, more visible and accessible team (which for us, meant trustworthiness).

Reasons for switching to Flodesk

Lack of features, rising prices, rising prices, rising prices. We were with MailChimp the longest and the only reason we didn't switch sooner is the time commitment in switching 10 years of content and hundreds of intricate customizations to a new provider. Should have done it sooner!

Beautiful + powerful segementation tools

Easy to make beautiful emails. Segmentation tools are veryw powerful - it's easy to create segments, add to them based on behaviour and keep things up to date.
Cons:
Some limitations in font choice and size consistency across different elements of templates. Not a huge deal but it takes a bit of practice to get things looking perfect. Test emails are an essential check.

They offer several templates to choose from, making this easy. I also like how fun and easy it is to create automated workflow campaigns with segmented audiences and easily read the analytics.

1- More options to archive and organize workflows and email campaigns over time. 2- More features for admins to work with clients that use Flodesk.

Cons:
I would like more templates; I feel there are fewer options to choose from. Having more retail-oriented options would be great!

I want something more affordable. I always think I am going to use all the bells and whistles, but I don't need all that stuff that Klayviyo offers. Flodesk keeps adding features, and I do look forward to seeing how I can incorporate more of them.

I love the ease of how I am able to create newsletters from polished templates. I also love the checkouts which are basically sale pages. It makes my life a lot simpler.
Cons:
I had to learn how to add blocks I needed to my newsletters to make them look the way that I wanted. Customer service was very helpful and I was able to get it done.

It has been 3 years using it for our business weekly, we send between 2-4 emails a week and it has been a great tool for generating and nurture our leads. We love how easy it has been to work in it for multiple audiences and campaigns.

Very easy to use and with lots of possibilities for your business. I like that the look and feel is very nice and non-branded. The templates are great, the design options too. I like that I can build my workflows and forms with just one tool and in the same place.
Cons:
That stat section could be better to filter the data and it used have better pricing for the functions and number of contacts compared to other platforms and now it changed. Nonetheless it keeps being a useful option.

We love how easy it is to use Flodesk, make our emails look great, stay consistent to our brand, and track our data. It makes organizing our email list easy and gives us a ton of flexibility when speaking to our audience.
Cons:
I wish there were some sort of folders to organize our emails according to various types of services but they do have strong tools that allow you to search for what you're looking for.
