About Flodesk

Flodesk is an email management solution that helps businesses streamline processes related to email designing, workflow creation, content management, and more on a centralized platform. It enables staff members to create and embed multilingual popup opt-in forms across business websites and Shopify pages.

Flodesk allows team members to create emails with custom images, GIFs, fonts, videos, numbered lists, logos, and other template elements. With the built-in email analytics tools, employees can monitor sent emails, deliverability rates, bounces, unsubscribes, click-through rates, and overall customer engagement. It lets users set up triggers to automatically send pre-designed emails at specific intervals. Additionally, marketing professionals can schedule emails, rename titles, duplicate templates, create content folders, and segment audiences, whilst maintaining compliance with GDPR guidelines.

Email marketing that actually feels good to create

My overall experience has been genuinely wonderful. Flodesk makes email marketing feel thoughtful and human. It encourages me to slow down, create with intention, and make my emails a space that feels good for my audience to land in. It feels like a platform designed for creatives and service-based business owners who care about aesthetics, ease, and building real connection. I actually look forward to writing and sending emails now.

Pros:

I love how beautifully simple Flodesk is to use. The email builder feels intuitive and spacious, and I can create designs that feel aligned with my brand without wrestling with the tech. The workflows and segmentation features make nurturing my list feel more intentional and less overwhelming. It actually makes email marketing enjoyable. With it being similarly priced to other email marketing platforms, it makes Flodesk an even easier choice!

Cons:

The checkout feature is visually stunning and so simple to set up, but I found myself wishing for a bit more flexibility in how people can make payments. It works beautifully for lower ticket offers that only need a single pricing option, but I also sell higher ticket offers, such as website templates, and I like to provide payment plans to make those more accessible. I did find a workaround for creating a split pay option, but it is not very smooth and takes quite a bit of time to set up since it requires creating a separate workflow for each payment plan version.

Reasons for switching to Flodesk

Those were frustrating to use. I tried out a free trial of Flodeska and it was just so easy to use, I stuck with it.

The FIRST email platform that doesn’t make me want to scream

I run multiple large communities and products, and Flodesk is the first tool that keeps up without adding stress. It’s simple without being basic, powerful without being bloated, and delivers reliably. It’s the only email platform I’ve ever actually enjoyed using - and I’ve used them all. Our decision to leave MailChimp has saved us SO much money, time, and heartache, and I rarely evangelize about ANYTHING, but Flodesk is my secret weapon that I'm willing to share with everyone!!!

Flodesk is the only email platform I’ve used that feels genuinely modern and actually enjoyable. The interface is clean, intuitive, and not buried under 47 mystery menus. I can design beautiful emails in minutes, automation is straightforward, and everything just works without fuss. It saves me hours every week and makes my emails look like I hired a designer.

Cons:

There is no built-in RSS feature yet. That’s literally the only thing I miss. Otherwise, it’s SUCH a dream.

More features for the money, better documentation, better UX/UI, more visible and accessible team (which for us, meant trustworthiness).

Lack of features, rising prices, rising prices, rising prices. We were with MailChimp the longest and the only reason we didn't switch sooner is the time commitment in switching 10 years of content and hundreds of intricate customizations to a new provider. Should have done it sooner!

I love the ease of use. There's not much tutorial required. I also love the simplicity and elegance of the interface. It's like a breath of fresh air for a type of software that can sometimes give people a headache.

Cons:

I wish there were a few more analytics features, such as being able to view a list of most popular subject lines, or knowing the exact timeframe that is most popular for email opens, or having 24/7 customer support chat.

Kit (Convertkit) is an uglier interface and has too many features I don't need. Plus, Flodesk has easy-to-create beautiful emails.

Affordable, Minimalist, and Great Customer Service!

10/10! I love their customer service, the minimalist design, and how easy the software is to use. It’s affordable, which is rare compared to other email marketing platforms that keep raising prices or adding features no one really needs. I just want a simple setup to send emails and sell my digital products, that’s it! Most platforms overcomplicate everything and make it overwhelming, but Flodesk stays true to its original idea and keeps things beautifully simple.

Pros:

In a time where email marketing is a must and competition is everywhere, having a reliable platform is everything. I’ve tried several before, but most were complicated to set up, confusing to use, and their customer service was hard to reach. I switched to Flodesk about a year ago looking for something long-term, with beautiful and minimalist templates, and it’s been exactly that. The pricing was affordable and unlimited at the time, so it was a no-brainer. What really makes them stand out is their customer support. You actually get to talk to a real person who takes the time to understand your question, helps you out, and even follows up if you’re still having issues. I’ve been really happy with their service and plan to stick with them.

Cons:

The lack of templates. The ones they have are beautiful, but they feel a bit stiff with very limited customization. I wish there was a real drag-and-drop option to move elements around and create something more personalized, instead of only using pre-designed layouts. Also, Flodesk doesn’t integrate directly with WooCommerce or Kadence, so I have to use a third-party plugin to connect everything. It works, but it adds an extra step and increases the overall cost of email marketing, which can be a little frustrating.

Reasons for switching to Flodesk

MailerLite was great at first, but they kept increasing their prices, even for long-time customers. They started adding extra features like courses that I didn’t need, which only made the plans more expensive. As my email list kept growing, the cost just wasn’t worth it anymore.

Flodesk is hands-down the most beautifully designed and intuitive email marketing platform I’ve ever used… and I’ve tried them all. It saves me (and my clients) so much time because the drag-and-drop builder is seamless, the layouts are stunning, and the branding stays consistent without hours of tweaking. I also love that Flodesk can replace a website or link-in-bio tool for many small businesses, which makes it incredibly cost-effective. The price is unbeatable for what you get, especially the unlimited subscribers feature!

Cons:

There are a few advanced automation features I’d love to see expanded over time, though they are already improving with every update. Also, native analytics could be slightly more robust for data-driven marketing pros. Still, I’ve never found these to be deal-breakers because the user experience more than makes up for it.

Nothing beats Flodesk!

I used to have a mailchimp account and it became a headache. I have been working with Flodesk for the last three years and I absolutely ove it! It´s so easy to use and the designs are atractive. It takes me very few minutes to create appealing emails and forms.

I've been quite happy since moving to Flodesk. Transferring my subscribers to their platform was a seamless process and I finished it quickly without a hitch. I love their graphics and templates. They look modern and clean and can be adapted to any brand and style. Since using their forms and pages on my blog, I've had many readers become new subscribers. I geek out on organization, so I love that I can store my emails in different folders; one for drafts, one for scheduled, one for sent, and one for templates.

Cons:

There isn't a thing that I don't like about Flodesk. This email service provider has designed their plan to make it easy to use and easy to add the WOW factor to forms and landing pages.

My top recommendation for email marketing - Flodesk.

Overall, Flodesk offers all the features I need to run excellent email newsletters and segements so I can include all my pen names under the same account.

The affordable price, the ease of use, and the features. I run an author business with many pen names. Flodesk is my one stop list service for email marketing.

Cons:

Honstely, the only thing I don't like is they allow two "from" emails on the newsletters. I had to resort to sending out newsletters under my "publishers" email rather than under each pen name. It's workable.

Out of this world support

I’ve gotta shout out Flodesk’s support team. I was working on connecting a client’s DNS records and, listen… I am the tech person. This is literally my lane. So when things weren’t connecting, I was like, “Cool cool cool, love this for me." Enter Flodesk Support. If you’ve ever had to deal with support teams who go full ghost or send you copy-paste nonsense, this was the complete opposite. Flodesk? 12/10 experience. Would absolutely recommend.

They replied fast, were actually friendly (rare), and didn’t treat me like I was out here trying to plug a toaster into the cloud. They even checked back in on their own to make sure everything was working after the fix.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing to dislike. They were quick, friendly, and proactive. A rare support experience these days.

I switched because Flodesk is just… prettier. More options, more freedom, and way easier to work with. I’m not fighting the platform to make things look good. It just gets it.
