About Slido

Slido is a polling and Q&A solution that helps businesses engage meeting participants and gain insights into audience reactions and questions across virtual meetings, webinars, events and conferences. Presenters can filter inappropriate questions and design and organize interactive and gamified live quiz sessions.

Slido allows administrators to create multiple virtual rooms, share access with stakeholders, set-up customizable branding and configure privacy levels to ensure user security. It lets the audience give anonymous feedback and add comments and vote for specific questions. Additionally, the analytics functionality lets administrators track popular queries, identify active participants, access poll results, and generate exportable infographics.

Slido enables businesses to integrate the system with several third-party solutions, such as Webex, MS Teams, PowerPoint and Google Slides. It also lets employees handle operations remotely, via the Android and iOS mobile applications. It is available for free and on an annual subscriptions. Support is extended via live chat, FAQs, documentation, video tutorials, phone and email.

I likee the ability to create individual events to poll audiences.

Cons:

Gets a little complicated for mixed virtual IRL events, there's a lot of steps. Works best for ALL-virtual events.

Great for interaction with my students during class.

Cons:

I'm using the free version and cannot export results. I don't know if it is possible to export results in the paid version

Reasons for switching to Slido

I switched from Mentimeter to Slido primarily because Slido offers a free Word Cloud feature that perfectly meets my needs for gathering student feedback. Additionally, Slido allows me to create a sufficient number of polls without requiring a paid subscription, making it a more cost-effective choice for collecting the essential information from my students each week.

Slido - it's inner mechanics do their thing, you do yours and it all works

My supervisor wanted me to try out Poll Everywhere since Slido has been used (in a more limited way) in some of our agency meetings before. I gave Poll Everywhere a shot but everything about it was a little harder to figure out and I wasn't sure where I was headed, whether the presentation would ultimately meet my basic requirements. As soon as switched over to Slido, it was smooth sailing.

Pros:

I was most impressed with the fact that I didn't need to learn much about the mechanics of the Slido features. In most situations, I want to, but in a jam - having to throw together an interactive quiz show for 20 tables of 6 - it was a great relief that everything was at my fingertips and simply worked.

Cons:

I expect that at some point I'll try to do just the thing that Slido can't handle, but so the Slido team is leaps and bounds ahead of me in thinking up new ways to engage groups in learning, competition and fun. The only stumbling block I hit was thinking that I would be limited to 3 quiz questions in the Free version because that version limits the number of polls per event to three. When I realized I had confused the two, angel choirs sang (we were down to 90 minutes before departure for the event venue).

Reasons for choosing Slido

Ease of use, superior results tabulation and leaderboard.

- Great tool for Polling- Finest user experience- Allows privacy through maintaining anonymity of participants names.- Provides instant results for Voting

Cons:

- This is a simple tool, very beneficial for receiving genuine employees feedback. We don't see any shortfalls in it.- However, to make it more dynamic, more features can be introduced to the Platform.

Not over engineered and quick set up.

It help liven up online presentations. It also helped get a real feel for the true feelings of the audience.

Pros:

I like the ease with which it took to master it. It's intuitive and in an Online Training session it's quick to launch and get feedback. It doesn't intimidate first time users. I also like the analytics and post event feedback.

Cons:

Perhaps a few extra templates but really was happy enough with selection.

Reasons for switching to Slido

The initial learning curve was too hard with mentmenter. I felt it wasn't as intuitive as Slido.

No better way to get attendees to become participants

I've always had an excellent experience with Slido and I've been using is as a speaker, session participant and event organiser for 4-5 years. The system is solid and really flexible.

Pros:

I like how simple Slido is to use (one URL + one hashtag, or scan a QR code > instantly usable on any browser). I also like how many options it has (quite a few but not overwhelming) and the way it can help instantly visualise data. It can be a simple tool to receive questions but can also facilitate instant data analysis.

Cons:

I think Slido gets it just right when it comes to usability. I would like to see some updates on the look and feel, and I think one or two more visualisation options would be welcome.

Slido made managing various events very simple. The smoothness of the settings had an excellent impact on our ability to control and follow up on all the details.

Pros:

Slido strengthens the cohesion of all the activities of any event. Slido can be used to manage any type of event (meetings, seminars, conferences, ......) or even virtual ones, where it is easy to prepare the guest lists, send invitations, and document the confirmation of attendance efficiently. It is great that we can answer any inquiries before or after the event ends directly from the event page without the need to send an email or make calls. I love the statistics we get after each event, as well as the notes and inquiries that were documented by the invitees or supervisors of the event, as we can easily include them in the reports.

Cons:

Nothing negative with Slido, the interface design is perfect and the transition between the different sections is very smooth

Slido - Interactive Meeting Tool

My experience with Slido as been positive. It has enhanced a number of meetings I have fun, helping engagement and testing learning.

Pros:

The ability to make surveys, word clouds, quizzes, etc and embed them into PowerPoints to use in presentations and meetings. I love the speed of the answers appearing on screen live and the way the answers are saved online after.

Cons:

There are many limitations with a free version of the app, but it is still very helpful. I found it difficult to duplicate questions and make changes that then use a different QR code for participants.
