Reasons for switching to Yapp
Yapp is far more affordable than Whova. We had Whova for several years, then opted out as it increased to over $2000US. For an event of 60-70, it's far too expensive. We did not have a conference app for the last couple of years. We learned about it through our parent company, The Jim Pattison Group.

Copying previous year's conference app to current year and updating as needed. Uploading handouts from the conference, photos of speakers & special guests, creating announcements to be released throughout the conference.

Our experience was great. The support was awesome. The admin side was super easy. The attendees really liked using the app. We will use Yapp again for all of our smaller conferences!

The functionality of Yapp has been spot on for some of my clients, especially ones with smaller events. Yapp's customer service is one of the best parts of working with the app. Their responses are always timely, and I like that it gives you information on how long it might be if it's going to be a little bit. They've also always seemed very open to suggestions and requests from users.

The price of Yapp compared to our needs was spot on. Some of the other apps had too many extra functions that we don't need that muddy the water and are always a constant price add-on. We've also had bad luck with a couple of other products being glitchy when we need to update.

Just Jazz on Yapp

My overall experience with Yapp has been pretty tremendous. I am a jazz radio broadcaster, host, and curator of the Just Jazz Series. I have made this my Just Jazz app, where I host past radio broadcasts from several channels, Interviews, a live stream channel, television shows, future events, and more. I have customized this app to reflect all of my jazz media content and currently store 3 decades of content. It's easy to maneuver and stores a great deal of content.
