AMAZING! Everyone gets so excited every time we use this tool!

Pros:

I have been using YAPP for over 2 years for our global conferences - to get people to engage, get excited, and as a way of reducing printed paper agendas and other print materials. I love the functionality, and how easy it is to upload and use - I have had to test out another event app and that was very difficult to use. I especially love that I can upload a simple CSV file with participant names and that comes up so easily. I really do enjoy working with the tool - and being able to upload files so easily!

Cons:

The cost - sometimes I find it high. The only other thing I would say is the way apps are archived so you can't see some from the previous year.

Great product for the price!

Great price, easy to use for organizers and participants, product support exceeded expectations. Excellent product & backend support.

Pros:

As an event organizer, it was easy to set up, affordable for a small event of our size (70 delegates) compared to other products on the market. Product support was excellent.

Cons:

The download instructions that I copied and pasted did not work for our delegates. It may need to be redone.

Reasons for switching to Yapp

Yapp is far more affordable than Whova. We had Whova for several years, then opted out as it increased to over $2000US. For an event of 60-70, it's far too expensive. We did not have a conference app for the last couple of years. We learned about it through our parent company, The Jim Pattison Group.

It's easy to use so we can communicate it with the team.

Cons:

We can't post more than just one picture at a time. There's no capability to do a livestream on there.

My first app experience and Yapp made it easy.

Copying previous year's conference app to current year and updating as needed. Uploading handouts from the conference, photos of speakers & special guests, creating announcements to be released throughout the conference.

Pros:

Yapp has a very user friendly interface. It was easier than I thought it would be to dive right in and create the app for our conference.

Cons:

The carry-over of attendees from a previous year's version of the app to the current one caused some issues. Customer service confirmed that, for our purposes, asking them to delete the prior year's attendee list when setting up a new year's conference app would solve the issues I was having. I also didn't like that the only way you could see, add, or schedule announcements was through the app. I would have liked to be able to schedule those at my computer instead.

Future Problem Solving Conference using Yapp

It was a great experience. We had lots of engagement and the simple design of Yapp helped make things easy for our guests to use it.

It was very easy to use and setup. We were able to easily monitor the chat community to ensure all messaging was clean and clear.

Cons:

I have no cons at the moment, everything we needed was in the app. Previously we have used other apps for our conference and had trouble monitoring the chat community. Yapp made this step very easy.

Reasons for switching to Yapp

The price was too high and we could not easily manage the chat community.

A Simple and Affordable Event App Solution

Our experience was great. The support was awesome. The admin side was super easy. The attendees really liked using the app. We will use Yapp again for all of our smaller conferences!

It is super easy to setup and use. The attendees liked how it doesn't email them a bunch of junk emails. The features are great for a smaller size conference or meeting. Great value for your money.

Cons:

Attendees claim their profile, so anyone could go in and claim someone. We had someone claim someone on accident and it was a pain to figure out how to remove that permission.

Reasons for choosing Yapp

More cost effective for the size of our conference.

Pros:

Yapp has helped enlighten our teams on the need to collaborate in service delivery. An empowered team is always my main goal. Notifications and announcements can be accessed from a central point for clarity and motivation through efficient mobile apps. Being self-generated apps, customization is easy and fruitful. Yapp does not require much knowledge and skills on coding and design.

Cons:

Fully satisfying. Easy to operate and user friendly. However, the price should be revisited to be lowered inorder to accommodate smaller businesses.

Reasons for switching to Yapp

I switched since the customer support team for GoTo Webinar tool is very unresponsive. It takes days for them to attend an issue.

Promising App for Future Events

The functionality of Yapp has been spot on for some of my clients, especially ones with smaller events. Yapp's customer service is one of the best parts of working with the app. Their responses are always timely, and I like that it gives you information on how long it might be if it's going to be a little bit. They've also always seemed very open to suggestions and requests from users.

Pros:

Yapp is incredibly user-friendly. Building it out took a little bit of exploring the first time, but I was quickly able to figure out how to build what my clients were expecting in an event app. The rich text pages allow for some good customization, and agenda and attendee uploads are streamlined and very easy to use. When the app is up and running and being used at an event, it seems to operate smoothly for attendees, and any updates I send populate quickly and easily.

Cons:

Although the app does allow for some visual customization, especially on the rich text pages as mentioned above, it would be nice to have more customization options on some of the other page types. It would also be nice to have the ability to insert custom code to be able to do things like embed forms without having to send people out of the app.

Reasons for choosing Yapp

The price of Yapp compared to our needs was spot on. Some of the other apps had too many extra functions that we don't need that muddy the water and are always a constant price add-on. We've also had bad luck with a couple of other products being glitchy when we need to update.

YAPP is the best, user friendly conference app!

10 out of 10 stars! You can conduct surveys, make announcements, upload bios/pictures, see conference attendees. You name it, YAPP makes it happen.

Very user friendly. It has helped immensely with conference management. Highly recommend, even for a novice like me!

Cons:

No cons. I have enjoyed building the app that is uniquely tailored for our conference. It allows you the opportunity to upload local resources.

Just Jazz on Yapp

My overall experience with Yapp has been pretty tremendous. I am a jazz radio broadcaster, host, and curator of the Just Jazz Series. I have made this my Just Jazz app, where I host past radio broadcasts from several channels, Interviews, a live stream channel, television shows, future events, and more. I have customized this app to reflect all of my jazz media content and currently store 3 decades of content. It's easy to maneuver and stores a great deal of content.

I like the fact that I can have infinite categories where people can view and interact with different content

Cons:

I wish that you could customize and save a template for how you would like to lay out your content. It would be helpful if I did not have to continue to build the same thing
