I give Samsara a 10 out of 10. Their technicians have quick response, are always polite and professional. Even with the updates I am still able to navigate not only the dashboard, but the Fleet app as well.

Pros:

I am still a huge fan of the safety inbox and real time alerts as well as the cameras. We have now used footage to dispute damage claims and com out victorious. I am looking forward to the newer features that are coming out.

Cons:

I least like the self-coaching feature. The safety department I am in is small, and we review footage daily, but do not have the time to coach each driver. I wish that the self-coaching feature would not allow the driver to skip the assigned lessons.

My account manager was reassigned or left without notice. There were changes to my account that I was not notified about.

Pros:

Ease of use is what I like most about Samsara. From acquisition to day to day use the team has been great. I like that they check in periodically to see if there is more that than can do and that the support desk is just as friendly.

Cons:

Up until recently they didn't have a good inexpensive option for basic trailer tracking and that was a huge con for us. They recently added the AT11's and now that con is gone. :)

We chose samsara because of the many options for tracking as well as features offered.

We had difficulties with the service level of Azuga and that it was a desktop model and not a mobile model at the time.

We like being able to see real time location of our fleet, also love the vehicle diagnostics. And it's very easy to recall video captures at certain moments of a trip for review.

Cons:

When vehicle has been turned off for a while, you can still see it's location but the camera views time out.

Easy to use

We switched from a different EDL system. Samsara is more up to date and easier to use than the previous system. We recommend if we are asked our opinion.

Cons:

Trying to obtain assistance when I need help is a little difficult at times. I have struggled to get the correct information back on the first ask.

Tracking is great and accurate as it can be, also not many bugs if any, i wish its little bit less expensive so i can recommend it to smaller trucking company's

Perhaps more specific warnings on violations with Hos, instead of me going through each driver every day to see what happen night before

Samsara's customer service support staff were very knowledgeable and assisted with my issue over the phone. Together we were able to address and correct it.

Cons:

Need to figure out the bugs with vehicle ECU units. We were able to go around the issue, but had to figure it out other ways.
