Pros:
Gravityforms helps you integrate forms into wordpress in the most complete way
Cons:
Forms without custom css can look bad. The default customizer is not enough.

Reasons for choosing Gravity Forms

GravityForms offered us a complete solution inside wordpress, and the price was better because you could have a lifetime deal.

Reasons for switching to Gravity Forms

We needed to have a better integration with the Wordpress ecosystem

Best for advanced WordPress developers

Gravity Forms is great for professional WordPress developers looking to create advanced forms for clients. The plugin pricing is very reasonable for using on multiple sites and the support has been great.

Pros:
Gravity Forms has tons of customization options, hooks, and filters for advanced developers. I've done some really advanced things with the forms like complicated third party integrations using custom APIs. I use Gravity Forms because I know it will be able to handle anything I need. It is equally great for creating simple contact forms.
Cons:
I can't think of any complaints about this plugin.

Reasons for choosing Gravity Forms

Gravity Forms seems to have the most advanced functionality with great documentation and great support.

Quite Possibly The Best Form Solution For WordPress

5

The ease of solving a variety of different client needs, especially on the topic of collecting payments. Setting up e-commerce solutions can take a lot of time, which can be a burden if a client just needs to sell access to a downloadable brochure or collect deposits on a workshop. With nothing more than the PayPal email address, I can set my clients up to collect payment in a matter of minutes. I also LOVE the fact that all submitted entries are stored in the database. Some contact form plugins don't store the data after sending the email, and anyone who has setup forms in WordPress knows of the deliverability issues that can arise with submission notifications. Since Gravity Forms stores the entries, I don't have to worry about lost entries. My clients know that if an important submission doesn't reach their inbox for some reason, they can always login to the site and find that submission.

Pros:
I am constantly amazed the versatility of Gravity Forms. Sure, you can use it to create simple contact forms, but it can do so, so, SO much more than that. Want to create polls or surveys? Sure, that's child's play. Want to collect email addresses and dump them into your favorite email marketing Saas? Tons of software connections are baked-in to Gravity Forms (depending on your license level). Want your forms to stand out as something more than just a boring form? Yeah, go ahead and style the heck out of them using CSS. I've used Gravity Forms in place of e-commerce solutions (like WooCommerce) for simpler product/payment transactions. But wait, there's more. You can register users to your site (or register users for aspects of your site, like LearnDash courses); you can take payments on forms through PayPal, Stripe, Square, Authorize.net (and a few others); you can easily create COVID screening questionnaires (that's proven useful!); you can automatically dump your collected data into a variety of CRMs (Zoho, Agile, Capsule, probably others I have no experience with). And if all else fails, just connect Gravity Forms with Zapier where you can probably do whatever you want or need.
Cons:
On the rare occasions I need support from their team, I wish there was a faster solution than email. Other than that, I haven't had any issues. Even the one time I had a project that was above my capabilities, Gravity Forms directed me to Codeable where I was able to find a developer to assist in the project.

Reasons for choosing Gravity Forms

The comprehensive set of features within Gravity Forms keeps me coming back. Being able to easily create both simple and complex forms, and integrate with a variety of 3rd party services makes Gravity Forms extremely versatile.

Pretty good for Wordpress, but requires way too many add-ons

4

Works as advertised for basic functions, but it requires too many add-ons. The development of this software also seems very slow compared to competitors that are adding new features all the time.

Pros:
Works well with Wordpress. It is very flexible if you are willing to pay more for add-ons. The best forms plugin for Wordpress that is available in terms of pricing and features.
Cons:
I hate that you have to purchase a number of additional add-ons in order to make the product do what is required. The add-ons are mostly created by 3rd parties, not all of whom are easy to judge in terms of credibility, safety and reliability. The features included in the main product (without add-ons) is weak compared to non-Wordpress focused competitors.

Reasons for choosing Gravity Forms

Seemed to be the best native builder for Wordpress.

Reasons for switching to Gravity Forms

Needed something with better conditional logic and customization options.

Great Form Tool with ActiveCampaign

Overall Gravity Forms has been a great tool. I find it easier and more intuitive than Forminator and I'd recommend it as a form too.

Pros:
I use Gravity Forms to have a better looking form on my website, and use conditional logic in the forma nd then sync it to ActiveCampaign. This works very well and I've had no issues with form entries coming into ActiveCampaign. I also love that it has a Stripe integration so payments can be taken directly through the form.
Cons:
I've had several issues with the form on my website not processing sales which has resulted in lose of revenue. Apparently this was related to optimization plug-ins on my website. I have disabled those but haven't been able to test yet that this issue isn't repeating itself. Part of the troubleshooting issue is that often it was clients who told me the form wouldn't process their payment but I was unable to recreate the issue.

Reasons for choosing Gravity Forms

I went with Gravity Forms because it allows form logic and is more intuitive than Forminator.

Pros:
You can use it to accept payments - I think there's a Stripe integration and some other integrations that I haven't needed. The admin of the form builder is relatively intuitive.
Cons:
I seriously didn't realize until going to use Gravity on an "adopted" website how much better Formidable Forms is than Gravity forms. What lead to my review today - I create calendars all the time with Formidable forms. You cannot do that with Gravity Forms, not even with the $500/yr Elite license. Seriously!? Their only option is a 3rd party add-on that's another $49/site/year!! That's insane. for "the best" form builder, you'd think you could make a booking form with it.

Reasons for choosing Gravity Forms

I didn't. I inherited the sites from another designer who used Gravity for everything.
