Axero is the way to go!

From working with the sales team, to the engineers, and even a check in from the owner, Axero has been a responsive and professional partner through and through. We did a LOT of research on different platforms and have not regretted our decision to grow with Axero.

Pros:
The engineering team have been true partners in helping us develop the site to fit our needs. There is never a question of if Axero can accommodate a function, it's a question of how.
Cons:
Like any new program, there is a learning curve. Axero is complex but that is also its beauty. It really can perform any function you need or track usage on many levels. Once you get the hang of it, it's intuitive and easy to use and modify.

It was able to accommodate our needs and they were willing to take a chance with our vision.

Pros:
There is a bit of a learning curve with the platform, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use; their support team is also extremely responsive. I also appreciate how customizable the platform is to make it work how you need it to for your organization.
Cons:
This is the con of a pro, but Axero is constantly updating the platform with new functionality, which is great, but can be difficult to keep up with and then implement within the context of your existing site.

Overall we've had a great experience with the team and building our site. As a whole everyone loves the intranet and we're happy with the end result.

Pros:
The staff is amazing, they went out of their way to help us stand up our intranet and were super patient with all of the requests we had.
Cons:
Going from the demo to the live site was a tough transition, there was a lot of learning on our end. It wasn't just plug and play. It would have been helpful to know CSS. Also it would have helped to have set expectations for our meetings, we ended up driving the process there were some frustrations in the beginning.

The Search was miserable it was very difficult to find anything.

I think the platform is very basic and not the robust solution it is presented as.

It gave our employees a new intranet to complain about. They didn't like the old one because it was dated, and they don't like the new one because (1) it's new, and (2) it doesn't have some of the basic functionality of the old one (developed in-house).

Easy to set up and navigate.
Cons:
There are too many inconsistencies and quirks. It seems like it wasn't fully built out. Functionality was put in, but there's no depth to it. For example, the site member csv does not accurately report space membership. There are more examples, too numerous to mention here. We have reported these. Apparently, most are expected to be corrected in some phantom future release.

Giving us the ability to post knowledge base articles and other company news where all employees can see and interact.
Cons:
The administration side of Axero has a little bit of a learning curve to find all of the configuration options.

I love using Axero for our intranet and internal communication needs. Using it is so easy and administration is also a breeze, and it's so user friendly that users across our entire organization get more involved and stay current with articles and required readings.

Pros:
Internal communications with Axero are amazing. News and important information are incredibly visible and easy to find, which is a huge improvement. Notifications for required reading are also easy to use with the bell icon and showing the list of all required reading is also a plus.
Cons:
The only thing I wish Axero had was easier reporting options for space access, etc. If we could pull reports by user and see at a glance which spaces that user had access to as a member/moderator/admin/etc., that would be a huge improvement.

Reasons for switching to Axero

Axero was much better and easier to use and we are so happy with the switch.

Axero is a robust, social intranet with a ton of features. One of the things we like best is the knowledge management. The search functionality is awesome!
Cons:
The digest email feature. They'd be SO MUCH better with rich text. The layout is lacking, and the ability to bold, highlight, and hyperlink text would greatly improve it.

Reasons for switching to Axero

Poor search capability with Actimo led us to look for an alternative with better search features.

i love axero for the capabilities it holds for internal information. i also see a lot of opportunities for development when i think of our team members experience
Cons:
i don't like how my article cover photos have to be a certain size -- and then when i publish it they image usually gets cut off. and i want the app to be better

Being able to have spaces / groups / etc is really helpful to limit unwanted content. I also enjoy the page builder section and thought there were a lot of really cool options.
Cons:
I had to do some manual work to get widgets the way I liked, but oh well that's fine. I would enjoy more language translation enhancements and more metadata and functional possibilities with integrated content from SharePoint.

Cons:
Some of the things that can improve are the integrations for various programs. Also some of the various options could be better.
