Good Software Solution for small to medium businesses

Great support team at ScrapRight, however, there is no support outside of their business hours.

Functionality

Pros:

Software is easy to use and interface is simple and friendly, it must be since where it is used, the users are not tech-savvy. The software is updated regularly by the ScrapRight team.

Cons:

Requires regular maintenance, such as restarting certain services. The automated scripts and maintenance tasks are not doing sufficient job. I am sure its a configuration/setup thing that can be easily resolved.

Always there to help!

We have had ScrapRight for about two years now and we are beyond pleased. We had a competitor previously and had nothing but issues. ScrapRight sent a person down to help train staff and set up equipment...... included in our purchase!

A software program that could go from good to great with some simple tweaks

Pros:

It has made working at the scrap yard much easier. We have simplified many processes and no longer have to use physical tickets when dealing with customers so this can make things much faster - when the system is working properly.

Cons:

There are small issues that need to be tweaked, the system often has issues that are frustrating and end up costing time. Simple issues such as failure to add tax and overlapping lines on invoices took over a month to fix. I have had the opportunity to use this software for several months on a scrap yard scale and now in an office and while it is getting better, I find I have to go back and check over everything to ensure that mistakes have not been made within the program. Errors have been made where payments were issued to customers erroneously.

But, I do think, in most cases we see a little extra training to round out the rough edges helps someone who just doesn't know what they don't know. I certainly have found myself in this situation many times. Please call us after the holidays and allow us to answer some questions and provide some minor training tweaks to help you get the most out of ScrapRight Software! After 2 days of setting up software and hardware we were up and running with the fastest ticket times in the WEST!

Cons:

I would say it was the least, the amount of configuration that was needed to get it up and customized for our particular company..

Reasons for choosing ScrapRight

ScrapRight was the only one who kept with us to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and needed.

Reasons for switching to ScrapRight

ROM IT department was not able to fix any of our issues and kept sending invoices for work unperformed.

Very easy to Navigate

Pros:

Tracking of inventory is awesome. Being able to see what's in Finished goods and what's in the whip.

Cons:

Looking up material via inventory seems like it could be made simpler. Scrap right uses numbers but yet you can't look material up by number code

Good POS system for the price and run specials.

Cons:

Doesn't interface well with Quickbooks, and staff isn't helpful navigating the pitfalls of your product.

Our iScrapRight product is not intended to integrate with QuickBooks, nor will this be an offering in the future on this product. If you would like a discounted price on upgrading to our flagship product ScrapRight which does including integration to QuickBooks I would like to offer that to you. Also, iScrapRight includes chat support with our Tier One team but our Tier One and Tier Two support techs are available to our ScrapRight customers from 7am to 7pm EST M-F and Saturday's from 8am - 4pm EST via phone, chat and help desk tickets. We really loved the pro attitudes and ability of the installation team! They came out and installed everything and trained our team in two days with time left over to spare! Love those broÕs PRO great team to work with!

Cons:

If I had to describe a con, I would simply say we haven't found any yet, this software transition and all of our experiences have been amazing! We highly recommend this company in every way. We even told the company that we would be a place that other yards could stop and see it in action! Amazing company, amazing people and amazing support!
