Pros:

Goosechase has been an absolute game changer for us! We use it for literally everything, and it is so much fun. It has allowed us to provide our services to families in a fun, gamified manner; it makes analytics and communication easy, and the Goosechase team is absolutely AMAZING!

Cons:

I wish we had better options for organizing our various hunts. It would also be nice to have an option for 2-way communication and even commenting within the game.

Pros:

This was far easier to use and develop with than anything I've ever used. With just 3 options (text, GPS, photo/video), Goosechase allows for a world of possibility. The ability to lock and unlock experiences based on time, adds even more flexibility and options to a platform already filled to the brim with them. The few times that I've had questions or issues, The Nest, Goosechase's community forum, was incredibly helpful and quick to respond.

Cons:

Mission design is a bit clunky and there are some seemingly obvious features that are missing. When there are more than just a few missions, reorganizing them via drag-and-drop is a pain. If there's a way to copy or template missions, I'm not sure what it is. Adding the ability to unlock missions based on the completion of previous missions feels like a missing feature that would unlock an entire galaxy of new experience possibilities.

Reasons for choosing Goosechase

I've used these products in the past. I had do some custom coding to make them work and there was a tremendous amount of effort, uncertainty, and troubleshooting around their performance. That is never a concern with Goosechase.

My experience with Goosechase has been largely positive. It's ease of use and customisable challenges made our team-building events fun and engaging. Occasional tech hiccups were minor setbacks in an otherwise effective tool for boosting collaboration.

Goosechase stands out for its versatility and ease of use, allowing users to create scavenger hunts for any occasion. I love it's customisable missions, that makes corporate and casual events, way more fun.

Cons:

What I like least is the fact that connectivity issues can disrupt the real-time leaderboards and overall flow of the game.

I love that we can keep staff and families engaged whether we’re near or far from each other. We also love seeing everyone else’s submissions and learning more about each other in a fun and creative way. The ability to customize is the best feature. As an admin, I love being able to set it and forget it since it’s all automated.

Cons:

The one complaint that I get over and over is that we can’t zoom in with the camera. I agree and that’s also my biggest complaint. Paying this much for a subscription should include the ability to zoom. We also feel that we should be able to comment on other teams/participants submissions or add to the like feature with other reactions. As an administrator of the games, I’d like to be able to see who/how many people are logged in for each team so I can help facilitate set up before the game begins.

We’ve tried several ways to execute our scavenger hunts and they all worked but required much more time, patience, and energy on both the admin role and participant role. This platform is more uniform, automated, and requires less participant training. It runs itself and takes out several steps.

Fun Way to Engage and Build Community

I absolutely love this product. We use it for staff engagement, building school community, and a bit of a brain break from the very information heavy professional developments our teachers participate in. With this product we can integrate movement, competition, and a fun activity to get teachers moving and collaborating with one another. Sometimes our challenges are just fun and other times we add in content, but overall we love using GooseChase.

I love that Goosechase has a live stream that users can see in real time of all the fun challenges participants are creating. I also love that you can download those pictures and save the memories for each event.

Cons:

Adding preassigned teams can be a little tricky if you don't really take your time, but after looking into the directions I got it done.

Kahoot was not as interactive and engaged, and teachers were not able to bond with one another.

The best thing about Goosechase is that it is a fun and energetic tool that gets participants engaged in a path of discovery while activating their creativity through healthy competition. It is very user friendly.

Cons:

Initially, it is a little awkward to get set up, but after an administrator does it once, it is relatively easier to navigate. It could be a little more intuitive on the administrator's side.

Goosechase changed the game for our orientation

Overall, this was an enormous hit. Our students had a blast, got involved immediately, and it was so so easy to track the leaderboard, download and use the images, and I loved how interactive it was during play.

We wanted to find an app that would allow us to create a dynamic orientation event for our MBA students in their first week of school. It was so easy to use, update, and add missions that choosing them was a no brainer. I loved the option to have a video/photo, GPS, or text mission to create a diverse event for my students. I loved being able to message them in the middle of the game, and to use the submissions immediately to promote the game the next day and for future marketing.

Cons:

The one thing that was challenging was moving the missions into a custom order. I wanted the missions in a specific order, and when I created a new one, moving it to the right spot was challenging - I had to drag it to the right spot, and for some reason this was harder than it sounds.

Reasons for choosing Goosechase

Scavify was a little more challenging to learn, and Goosechase was immediately intuitive. Goosechase was also willing to work with me on pricing so that it was more competitive than the alternative.

Scavenger Hunt App

I have been searching for new ideas for our community scavenger hunts and I absolutely love the idea of this platform. Electronic devices have the majority of our children and adults engagement, so by using an app on their phones for the scavenger hunt was so much fun and so much easier to plan.

Cons:

The only downfall to this program would be the need for Wifi connection while using the platform. The location available for our scavenger hunt was unfortunately away from any wifi connection. There are methods to work around this small mishap as long as you have the right connections. Overall
