About ElectionBuddy

ElectionBuddy is a voting platform that helps organizations improve voter engagement, save time, create a better voter experience and ensure election integrity.

The platform is used by over 100,000 organizations worldwide for remote elections, virtual conferences, on-site meetings or any combination of hybrid event for board and executive elections, bylaw amendments, contract ratifications, agenda item approvals, awards and surveys.

Some of the unique features offered by ElectionBuddy are improved voter engagement, high-integrity voting, automated process, real-time results, secure and private. It notifies voters through email, mail, text message or with your own systems. Voters can receive undeliverable notice alerts and schedule reminders. Voters vote by phone, computer, mail or in person.

A voter can only vote once and voting choices remain anonymous. Each ballot has one, secure voting key and the vote is auditable, verifiable and can be independently observed. Winners are immediately calculated using first past the post, cumulative voting, preferential ballot, STV Single transferable vote or approval voting. Great product made for a great election for our 1st time!

The experience was great. It was easy. Very grateful for the opportunity to run a few sample elections with a small test group. We learned a lot with our first election. Loved being able to introduce electronic voting to our community. It made our election so much easier and counting votes so smooth. Thankful for your product!

Pros:

Can't pick just one! The ease of setting up our ballot. The step by step guide was so helpful. It walked me through how to do everything exactly the way I needed it. Also liked the confidentiality of the votes. This was very important to our community. Also loved the fact that it tallied all the votes for us and gave a very detailed summary.

Cons:

That when we set up to vote for four candidates and if someone didn't want to vote for all four candidates and only write it two candidates that they still had to have four candidates. It didn't explain that clearly that there would have to be four selected no matter what.

Elections-a-breeze

This is an easy and secure process with which to work. Even from year to year, it was easy to remember the "how-tos"

Pros:

This was easy to load for the different categories we had-some candidates were to be confirmed and some were to vote between 2 candidates. It's also a very economical platform and the voters liked it too

Cons:

I had to learn the language or definitions of the types of categories and voting methods and the correct one to use for each section

No integrity, not in the us in Canada

No help at all. They tell different stories if younask about the garunteed integrity there is no real.answer or they change the subject plus they are not in the usa

Nothing it says it has a garuntee on integrity . Thats not true . Theybhave to have administrators ok toneven dona integrity. So if the administrator is bad then sonis this software

Easy to use, even for first-time non-techy people

Very satisfied; would used again. Appreciated the free tests to refine wording and see what would happen under various voting circumstances. Very helpful

Pros:

Easy to set up and use. Feedback from voters indicated they found it easy and they liked it better because they could think about their votes instead of having to vote on the fly. Result reports were very helpful for reporting back to the membership.

Cons:

Not sure if it actually encouraged voting. I think about the same percentage of people voted as before we tried this system. No one used the proxy system, whereas they did before when we used paper ballots.

Excellent Customer Service and Help!

Customer service is amazing. They're quick to respond and will follow up with you to ensure your problem is solved. I had a question about adding in voters once the election was live and they walked with through how to edit it and add voters and included step by step articles

Cons:

The only con about ElectionBuddy would be the cost per election. If there is an error made and the election is already live, you have to close the vote and pay to do it again. They were able to give me a 50% credit but it would be nice to have like a grace period if the error is realized within a certain amount of time once going live. But overall we've used them for years and will continue to use them.

Great program at a good price!

Our union has used ElectionBuddy twice and has found that it's a great program for digital elections. The set-up, training, security involved, and its ease of use once employed by our members has no doubt ensured that we'll continue to use it in the future.

ElectionBuddy was very easy to employ for our union's digital elections. It was easy to learn about and set up, it was very secure, and came at a good price for us. I would highly recommend it to any organization.

Cons:

Nothing I can think of since it was easy to set up, train for use, secure, and easy for our constituents to use for our union's digital elections.

Flexible and trustworthy election software

Very flexible process. The option of keeping previous election designs as a reference is very helpful, as you do not need to create a new election from scratch. I have used Election Buddy for elections with various types of questions and polls, always with great success.

It is an excellent value for money and agile platform with numerous options for any kind of election. Help is available at any part, although the election process is straight forward.

Cons:

Haven't noticed any cons. Everything was easy and functional, right from the first election attempt.

Great product. Great Price.

Great demo at ASAE. Great follow up. Great demo with key staff. While they didn't try to oversell, we ended up choosing a higher package that I discovered on my own. It would have been nice for them to recognize that the other solution was a better fit. Easy implementation. Great online Help -- even when I working late.

Cost, ease of use! I've been interested in the product for a few years and when I pitched it with the price, everyone on the team thought it was a "no-brainer." Can't beat the price for the functionality, ease of use and service.

Cons:

I was concerned that the reminder emails were sent from ElectionBuddy Elections instead of our org name. When I asked support about this, they heard my concerns and made the change product-wide.

ElectionBuddy's flexibility and ease to run elections has been unmatched. I find the product reliable, accurate and easy to use.

Cons:

I wish I had more options for survey's. A bit more more options for better design options. Color schemes, various questions types (scales etc.).

It's a good product, the prices are fair and even though it's not always intuitive for ME, the customer service more than makes up for up.

Reusing prior ballots - especially helpful since I replaced someone at our org - AND the customer service is amazing!!!

Cons:

It's not always intuitive for me, so I probably use customer service more often than some, which is why it's a very important part of my positive experience.
