    Pros:
As a conveyancer it's amazing with the forms and precedents, I also love how it populates information. I always feel like my documents are secure.
    Cons:
Whilst I love LEAP, I would like more precedents, as they save me so much time and give the firm so much value for money.

    Reasons for choosing LEAP

Better practice management system and precedents.

    Reasons for switching to LEAP

Because of the better precedents and trust accounting.

    Pros:
Invaluable System offering a simple clever time saving way to run the office and files. All the trainers such as [sensitive content hidden] are highly professional and experienced. I also love the addition of the AI tool. I am continuing to improve my firm and productivity with this excellent service.
    Cons:
I have used other case management systems in the past and have to say there is nothing per se I don't like about leap. However I wish I hade more time to learn to use it to it's full potential so am linking in with [sensitive content hidden] for more bite sized regular training and Practice.

    Reasons for switching to LEAP

Leap more efficient and was great value to make change

Just the layout. the look is nice, of the individual cases. Thats really is. The invoicing is a tad bit improved.
    Cons:
Least? That it doesn't interact with Adobe. Not enough varied features for the different stages of litigation. searching for documents is tedious and should be more streamlined.

Not as good as its made out to be

In truth when we moved over to LEAP it was awful, the system was and is still being developed, we had issues with things not saving. We had issues setting up new matters and the accounts team have had continuous issues to the point the interest calculator has only just been resolved and we have been on LEAP for over a year. Lots of things we were told would work don't and the reports side particularly in relation to managing the destruction of physical files is not fit for purpose and needs reviewing.

    Pros:
As LEAP is similar layout to Microsoft products it is not too horrendous to navigate. Recurring matter templates are useful if you want to standardise matters.
    Cons:
The accounts side is far more complicated than it needs to be and has caused our accounts team no end of pain. There are buttons on the accounting pages that don't even work even though they are there you cannot use them i.e. New Payment request. Lots of parts of LEAP do not function as they should at all and we are constantly waiting for these things to be rectified to make it a much better system. We have raised the issues with LEAP on a regular basis and although somethings do get resolved a lot do not and we get told it will be sorted in the next release. We are still waiting!!

    Reasons for choosing LEAP

However, what we were shown of LEAP is not really what we feel we have got. The other systems were not up to scratch either, however, we should have looked at more.

    Reasons for switching to LEAP

The cost of SOS had escalated by 127% and we knew that the group that owned SOS also owned LEAP and were promised things would be improved!

In 2015 when I was preparing to set up my own legal practive, I knew I needed some form of Practice Management Software and I arranged for a demonstration of LEAP. I was literally grinning from ear to ear during the demonstration, such was the "Wow" factor. 10 years on, LEAP continues to deliver the "Wow" factor!

    Pros:
It represents such excellent value for its very reasonable price (currently $339 AUD per user per month). For basically one billable hour per month per user I simply cannot afford NOT to have LEAP. It is such a phenomenally good Practice Management Software that makes my professional life so much easier and enjoyable! And it continues to get better - with the advent of AI and LEAP's addition of "LawY" I have access to additional very powerful AI tools giving me very impressive AI drafting and legal research without any increase in the monthly subscription! It even includes the option to have LawY's AI generated legal research verified by an actual lawyer - even that is included in the standard LEAP per user fee! LEAP is very well supported in so many ways including product managers, free webinars, online training etc.
    Cons:
No product is perfect, so there are always things that could be better. Including sometimes LEAP changing things that users do not necessarily want changed. One other minor thing is that there is one add on that costs extra - the ByLawyers Guide (currently $69 AUD per user per month extra). However, either all of your users have the add on, or none of your users have the add on. The add on is also excellent value and I wouldn't be without; but my Legal Assistant does not really use it.

    Reasons for choosing LEAP

Appeared to represent the best value product for what my practice required

It has been decent and average. They do have good responsive customer service and agents and it has gotten better since they first launched in Canada as we were an early adopter. Bug fixes are continuing to improve. The original PCL transition process was costly as we had 30 years of data to port over.

    Pros:
I like the efficiency of having all emails stored to file automatically and all files for all practices and the accounting across the firm under one platform. AI is helpful to find emails.
    Cons:
The cost of the service and all the ancillary software that is needed for it to operate (Quick books, Microsoft 365, Adobe pro etc). It really drives up your monthly technology costs. Also, the fact that the Wills platform and conveyancing platform (Closer) is yet an additional per file cost and it was not sold that way to me originally. I was told originally it could be used for both as part of the LEAP platform.

    Reasons for choosing LEAP

At the time it was sold as a one stop solution. That was not the case.

    Reasons for switching to LEAP

They were transitioning to time matters online and LEAP included email and case management plus the accounting of PC Law

    Pros:
Easy to use but with a lot of features which are regularly expanded or improved. Because the system is cloud-based, updates and new features are rolled out without disruption. LEAP is a very good practice management system for small to medium sized firms.
    Cons:
The only feature I miss from previous suppliers that is not done in LEAP is the ability to see, at a glance, all documents (eg. scanned) for a particular day, or all calls for a particular day.

    Reasons for switching to LEAP

We wanted a future-proof system that was being developed and expanded continually.

    Pros:
LEAP is very user friendly in paying invoices as well as entering receivables. If you receive a check from a client that is paying multiple invoices, LEAP has an excellent way of entering them in an expeditious manner. I also like the way that LEAP syncs all of the transactions over to QuickBooks Online so that we can have an accurate account of our transactions.
    Cons:
No issues with LEAP. It works very well for my purposes. The only issue that I sometimes have is when I try to sync journal entries to QuickBooks Online. For some reason, it shows that it has "disconnected." We have figured out though how to correct this issue when it does come up which is not very often.
