Exceptional Tool for University Business Plan Courses – 70 Students, One Seamless Experience

As a Finance & Investments lecturer, I integrated Upmetrics into our entrepreneurship curriculum with excellent results. All 70 students successfully completed professional business plans, many of which are now competing in an Austrian business plan competition. There is very good understanding and interlinks between your apps within your platform. The AI rewriting is fabulous. There are still some glitches as I remember, which we can discuss in details through your support, as we have already started. I hope you will implement my improvements suggested or requested. It will enhance dramatically the experiences of all your customers.

I still use Beautiful.ai too because some investors want to see slick visuals, which is not available in Upmetrics pitch deck app. It is too textual in my huumble opinion.

Reasons for switching to Upmetrics

PrometAI failed on their promises. They still have a long way to go and if Upmetrics is the Rolls-Royce, they are not even ordinary BMW yet.

Good starting point, but not adequate for in-depth high quality business plans

I wasn't really satisfied with the product, but it gave me a relatively good starting point for writing my own business plan.

Implementation of AI in addressing business needs, especially in financial section of the platform.

Cons:

The business plan output was quite basic and much of the work had to be done through typing! I would expect it to be more conversational, the AI asking questions, writing down, asking questions, etc. For each section and sub-section of the plan.

Comprehensive collaborative business plan development tool! Highly recommended!

Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended for those who don't have any idea about how to build a proper business plan and use that content/information to build deliverables that not only bring the vision to life but also make it easier to "sell" the idea to others. Aside from keeping the business plan development process super organized, it definitely opened our eyes to a lot of other aspects of business creation that we hadn't thought about. So, as an educational tool (outside of its direct function), it was pretty awesome. Highly recommended!

The tool is incredibly comprehensive and covers pretty much every base imaginable for building a business plan (and beyond) from start to finish. Not to mention, it makes collaboration across teams a breeze and is mostly easy to use – even for those who aren't used to doing this kind of a work in a tech-forward way. And finally, the UI is clean, intuitive, and well organized. Overall, a very strong tool for those who want to build solid business plans.

Cons:

The ONLY downsides is the one-size-fits-all approach (which, for some business ideas, may be too complex as a starting point). While I realize that there are some best practices to follow – which this tool definitely captures – a lot of entrepreneurs with a business idea don't have all the answers right out the gate. What could be an interesting evolution of this tool would be to provide "beginner," "intermediate," and "advanced" options – depending on the stage of the business idea. Or perhaps, starting with the "foundational" elements first (aka, beginner) and then having the option to add on more advanced areas of the plan development as you go. I only suggest this because, for some, trying to tick every box may seem overwhelming and, as a result, cause people to stop using the tool. For better adoption, I'd say, make it super accessible to all – and then let those with a more baked business idea go the distance. (At least, that's how we felt – we appreciated the comprehensiveness of the tool but were equally overwhelmed by how much ground to cover...that we weren't quite yet ready to cover.)

Make A Daunting Task Fun!

It is extremely easy to use, it's intuitive, it guides you through it step by step and it's extremely easy for others to collaborate.

Cons:

I wish I could build the company org chart with titles and responsibilities and produce functional org charts. In the business plan, some of the modules you can't change or adjust.
