Fantastic Budget-Friendly Alternative to Adobe

Overall I think Lumin PDF is a great tool - simple to use, not perfect, but for the price it's hard to complain (especially when faced with the astronomical fees and scam-worthy service over at Adobe.

Pros:

The best part of Lumin is how easily it integrates with Google, so you can open, edit, and sign docs directly from your Drive which then autosave.

Cons:

For me, at times it could be a bit slow-loading. Also, the price point... as a freelancer who only needs to sign or edit the occasional document, 20 euros a month seems a bit steep but that's the lowest level that gives you editing access. Also when you click to write text, the box where you start writing is a bit out of line... you can move it after writing but it's just a bit fiddly. So the UX could be improved.

Reasons for switching to Lumin PDF

I had a free trial which expired and then had such difficulties dealing with Adobe's customer service that I decided never to use them again.

Great to view and edit pdf files.

Limit gave me all the resources to view and edit pdf files; I had no issues with their product or platform.

Cons:

I did not have any specific things I did not like about using Lumin; I was satisfied but due to location and business operating system change, I changed my pdf software.

PdfFiller had limited features and I needed more.

Pros:

I have used Lumin many times in the past for signatures, and it has always performed flawlessly. I like all the available tools to add text and signatures to PDFs.

Cons:

The text tool cuts off some words and/or characters at the end of a longer text box. I spent hours trying to add multiple boxes trying to get my text to show when saving and exporting the document. I had to end up using another software.

Pros And Cons of Lumin PDF In My Opinion

Overall, my experience with Lumin has been great. It makes studying much easier, especially for taking notes during lectures. The auto-sync feature is perfect too for me. However, the interface feels a bit complicated and the lack of partial text selection for bold or italic can be counted as cons.

Lumin PDF makes studying much easier for me. I can easily take notes during lectures, and the auto-sync feature makes a huge difference by simplifying my job as a student.

Cons:

There arent many cons but the interface could be improved in my opinion. I dont think its easy enough to use, as it feels a bit complicated. Additionally I can not select specific parts of the text and make them bold or italic, you can only change the whole paragraph or not at all.

Great Lumin Experience

It's great thus far. I've been loyal to Lumin ever since I discovered it. My colleagues & I also use Lumin since most of our documents are delivered electronically.

Lumin is really easy to view and edit PDFs with. UI is simple, and works great. It's my go-to PDF editor tool, and will continue to do so. It's recommended for users to try if you're looking for other alternatives. Thanks, Lumin team!

Cons:

I wasn't able to discover Lumin earlier. All these while, I've been stuck with mediocre PDF editors, with hassle transferring and downloading multiple times for edits. Also, it would be great if there was a minimum of 3 signatures allowed. The existing 2 signatures feels very restricted.

Reasons for switching to Lumin PDF

Lumin was a more inexpensive option, and the features & UI are simple. Perfect for me

Cons:

The scrolling through the pdf on the pc can get a bit wonky sometimes, but it is an easy fix. Other than that, no other issues.

Paying for Lumin PDF is a mistake

Very poor experience. Misleading advertising that makes it sound like there are far more capabilities than it has. Especially for the high price, just get Adobe Acrobat.

Lumin's integration with Google Drive is a nice option.

Cons:

The paid version of Lumin PDF is extremely limited. It does not nearly have the capabilities of Adobe Acrobat. An irritating "feature" of Lumin PDF is that document management happens through the Lumin PDF website or app only. If you delete your account you lose access to all your Lumin PDF documents. OCR is nonexistent. Text editing is limited and clunky. Copy/Cut and Paste is awkward and doesn't work between pages. Text boxes will cut off edits. Rearranging Text blocks is limited and there are many places on the page where a text block cannot be placed, even though it looks blank. Background images, real or imagined by Lumin PDF, are static and cannot be changed or deleted. Page arranging is slow to respond. Merging PDFs is clunky. Converting PDFs is inaccurate.

Great Google Integration!

Lumin PDF is fantastic!! It is an invaluable program for our small nonprofit that usually only fills out forms, and doesn't require software to create complex PDF documents.

Lumin PDF allows me to easily open and edit all PDFs from my email. Since it integrates with Google drive/suite, I can easily save PDFs, print them, send them, sign proposals, and more.

Cons:

Generally, there isn't anything I don't like about Lumin. It allows me to save files to my drive, share them with a group of staff, and download them.

Doc Hub would copy previous entries from other fields, making my forms actually incorrect, and was of NO help to us.

I can easily review, sign and date documents. You can download them as any file and then be on your way. Super easy to use and allows for detailed editing of documents. The best part is that it is directly attached to my Google drive. Makes my life much easier!!
