A great improvement from Wave

We decided to move away from Wave to ReInvestWealth due to the pricing change Wave did. The migration was smooth and we had a couple of sessions to tackle specific questions we had to learn how to register things using ReInvestWealth. Once we understood how to do it (easy to do once you get familiar with were buttons and options are) we had to spend some time configuring several automation's that, in the long run, have saved us a lot of time when it is time to classify expenses and payments.

Pros:

A list of the things that we like vs Wave: - Multicurrency business: Here you can have multicurrency invoicing integrated directly to your accounting, without having to create 2 "companies" and adding extra steps like with Wave - FX loss/gain: A lot easier to handle it here vs Wave - Automation: You can create your own automation rules to classify expenses and pretty much any transaction that is reflected in your accounts, you are not constrained by a predefined algorithm like with Wave. - Custom support: Since this is not only an online accounting solution but also has the support of real people with accounting knowledge, you gain access to the option of booking a session with a CPA (additional cost) to tackle specific questions and receive advise that will benefit you and your business.

Cons:

There are two main areas that need improvement from my perspective: - Reporting: Limited, it has improved but it is not as robust as Wave yet. - Transaction filters: The filters are there, the UI needs improvement to make it easier to use them. It is important to mention that they are focusing on improving the first point, releasing some initial versions of basic accounting reports and showing the drive to invest into making the reporting module a more useful tool for those with the need of forecasting expenses, revenue and overall having an easy way to see the "numbers" of your business.

Reasons for choosing ReInvestWealth

It was the only one that not only allowed online accounting and invoicing but also managed income tax, sales tax and payroll taxes in Canada at an affordable price and with multicurrency integration.

Pros:

The biggest advantage of Reinvestwealth is easy reconciliation combined with the quick and accurate responses from the AI assistant. The AI assistant provides clear, timely answers that save a lot of time and reduce guesswork. Reconciliation is smooth and efficient, making bookkeeping far less stressful than with other expensive software I’ve used.

Cons:

There isn’t much to dislike about Reinvestwealth. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be the option to flag whether a transaction requires a receipt. Having a simple checkbox or indicator to show that a receipt is needed would make tracking and compliance even easier. This would be a great enhancement rather than a drawback.

Reasons for choosing ReInvestWealth

Price and looked more useful without having to pay for upgrades/Tiers.

Reasons for switching to ReInvestWealth

Quickbooks was to complicated, expensive and over saturated with useless products. You had to level up just to get basic needs. Wave was not straightforward, and had to pay for more basic needs.

Was not Refunded my Transaction following 2 emails not and never accesssing there tech.

Terrible BEWARE charged credit card without access tech. I Sent 2 emails requesting the funds be refunded without being provided the funds with them knowing full well the Tech was not used.... Slippy slope of if think they can get funds without the Technolgiy never being accessed. BEWARE

I thought it would be a reasonable Canada Solution and was trying to support Canadian Technoligy and instead worry about the companys ethicals with the experance.

Cons:

The Marketing suggests a monthly payment of 39 a month with a cancelation anytime. After, I asked for a full refund learning from the CEO that they Tech wouldnt work, we did not access the sysytem or use the technoligy yet they charged the full fee on my credit card, I Sent 2 emails requesting the funds be refunded without being provided the funds with them knowing full well the Tech was not used.... Slippy slope of if think they can get funds without the Technolgiy never being accessed. BEWARE

The concept is perfect. The execution is still a work in progress.

I love the whole idea about ReinvestWealth and if they could get the bank connections, irregularities sorted, I would rate it a 5 out of 5. I feel like if ReinvestWealth could make a couple of tweaks around reliable connections and feature additions, I'd be willing to ditch QuickBooks and move all of my accounts.

Pros:

Like the AI categorization and auto import of bank and credit card accounts transactions. Also, the ability to produce reports to send to my CPA at tax time.

Cons:

(1) Glitchy bank and credit card connections with occasional disconnections, (2) inability of many credit unions were unable to connect with ReInvestWealth (3) inability to upload into the shoebox via CSV file

Better than QB

Smooth and easy. I am impressed so far. I moving for QB desktop pro which just seems to rebust for a small business. Plus they keep uping the price each year with little no features that impact me.

Cons:

I would like to see the availability to have preset reminders for upcoming bills for weekly or monthly reoccurring transactions.

The personable, hands-on vibe from the owner and the clear focus on supporting small businesses and freelancers. It doesn’t feel like a generic, one-size-fits-all platform. The dashboard is simple, intuitive, and hassle-free, which makes it easy to understand financial data without feeling overwhelmed.

Cons:

The main area for improvement would be the user interface. While it works well and has improved quite a bit compared to the past, it could be more sleek, polished, and visually modern in the future. That said, functionality and usability are solid overall.

Why I chose ReInvestwealth

I had a good experience with using the application, I saved me a lot of time especially with paper receipts. I liked the merging of receipts and my banking.

Ease to use, cost effective, modern use of AI, perfect customer support when I had trouble linking with my bank, good use of financial reporting tools, it gives an opportunity to navigate the learning curve and it’s easy to access using ordinary phone data.

Cons:

Too many emails pop-ups after I had signed up for the service, you need to reduce unnecessary promotion requests.

The ReInvest Wealth is very user friendly and the dashboard is easy to read. Transactions are very searchable and then simple to categorize if the AI functions hasn't done it perfectly already!

Cons:

I am having trouble connecting my credit cards because they have a seperate login through my online banking platform.
