I have launched several campaigns for friends, clients and myself. Results and excitments are always there like clockwise.

Overall I think this is one of the best tools out there for viral lead generation. If you want to build your email list faster, it's a great idea to encorporate viral list building in your business, by using contests and other viral campaigns. UpViral has been around for years, has a very good customer support and the owner/creator Wilco creates great training for customers, so you can always improve your marketing skills.

Their widget is OK, kind of convoluted to use, but the customer service is really bad. I was having issues with logging into the account and the widget was broken for over a month. I got locked out of the account even though they charged me for a whole year and after two people no one is able to help me resolve my issue. I'm trying to cancel the platform, but not even sure if I can because I'm locked out of my account even after doing multiple password resets. It's gotten to the point where they say my e-mail doesn't exist in their database. Just a mess.

CASE STUDYIn Kenya, a Nairobi restaurant wanted to increase visibility to its target market and increase its mailing list. Facebook ad campaign + viral giveaway consisting of 2 dinners for two. The campaign lasted for 42 days. Results: We targeted a group of 25-44 living in the Nairobi area with an interest in food, restaurants, and eating out. We reached 205431 people, 6549 clicked on the ad, and were sent to the giveaway page on UpViral. 5462 opted-in (left their name and email) and started social and email sharing to collect points. The viral loop was started and, at the end of the campaign, we had 21903 visitors to the giveaway campaign generating 5231 leads. Of these leads, 1792 came directly from Facebook advertising, and 3439 leads came from the viral giveaway campaign. So the client received a 192% increase in leads over a plain Facebook ad campaign.

Great support and continual development of this software. I bought it when it first came out and where it is today is a massive evolution.

Generally speaking I like the testing and experience that Upviral is offering. The ideas and frameworks are good, but as with anything, it will all still require your own hard work to implement and execute a successful campaign.

I am running a digital marketing agency and UpViral is a great tool that I added on my tool belt. I don't use it with every client and on every campaign but it is good when you can pull out one more ace from the sleeve. :)
