About AdminPlus SIS

AdminPlus by Rediker is a cloud-based student information solution that helps schools collect, manage and analyze student information. The solution caters to public and private schools of all sizes and grade levels.

The solution's core modules—which include attendance, scheduling, enrollment, discipline, student billing, gradebook, online forms, mobile apps, report cards and parent and student portals—tie into a customizable student information database, where critical student and staff data is stored and available for real-time analysis and reporting.

The report cards module provides a way for schools to record and edit both letter and number grades and create report cards and transcripts. It also integrates with both TeacherPlus Web gradebook and ParentPlus Web portal to streamline reporting and communications.

Within PlusPortals online communication modules, students and parents can view grades, submit course requests, review schedules, send and receive communications and more. Mobile access is available through apps for iOS and Android devices. Support is offered Through an online support portal and via phone.

    Great way to house student data information

    All data is in one place and easily accessible and reports needed are easy to gain and print once you understand the process to pull them up.

    All Around Improvement for our School Community

    Rediker has been a fantastic solution for our school. The training was thorough, the help desk is highly responsive, and the system was customized to fit our unique needs with great attention to detail. The platform is flexible, affordable for smaller schools, and continues to grow with advanced features and improved data accessibility. The seamless integration between their Admissions and Admin Plus has allowed us to go completely paperless, making applications easily accessible for parents and contributing to increased enrollment. Online forms also made re-enrollment and account updates simple and efficient. Their outstanding schedule builder handles complex schedules with ease, and the easy-to-use gradebook integrates seamlessly with Google Classroom. The updated dashboards make it easy to track struggling students, monitor progress, and catch attendance issues early to better support at-risk students. Manual data entry and schedule building that used to take us weeks or months now takes us days or even hours. We are very happy to be part of Rediker as their platform continues to evolve. We highly recommend it to any school looking for an affordable, reliable, flexible, and forward-thinking management system.

    The program is time saving, easy to use, customizable, affordable and is constantly being improved and updated.
    Cons:
    A number of different logins to get to each of the portals (Admin Classic, Admin Plus, Plus Portals, Gradebook Manager, Online Forms, Admissions Plus) I am hopeful that Rediker will create one login site where you access a dashboard containing all of the applications we have subscribed to.

    Reasons for choosing AdminPlus SIS

    PowerSchool is designed more for public schools and does not allow the customization we needed. It did not have a robust schedule builder that were were seeking for our small school that has a difficult schedule to build. In addition, the cost was a bit more.

    Reasons for switching to AdminPlus SIS

    The system we had was antiquated and was no longer being updated. The schedule building were inefficient and challenging to work with. The transcript and report card process was riddled with errors and consistently needed corrections that seemed to never save correctly.

    It allows you to track whatever data that you want. The initial set up is easy and it is easy to generate reports on just about any thing that you have data on.
    Cons:
    The web version is sometimes slow - which we need to be able to access from any location. I am not sure if it is a location issue - but we are frequently disconnected to the service and have to log back in.

    You get what you pay for

    Overall, this is the worst system I've ever worked in. There are far better SIS systems out there with advanced features and better integrations. The icon, itself, is outdated and the system back-end looks like AOL during the "you've got mail" era.

    The price point of Rediker's Admin Plus is perfect for small and smaller schools — independent or otherwise. Further, account managers always want to be incredibly helpful.
    Cons:
    Training is terrible and comes at a high price. Further, the system is extremely clunky and outdated. We were recently notified that we'd need to pay a $1,500 professional services fee to upgrade our system to the latest version Rediker offers because they will be doing no additional/further updates to the version we have. That said, even in demonstrating the upgraded version, we ran into bugs and other nuisances.

    AdminPlus--An SIS Transition Worth Every Penny

    Our school’s overall experience has been great. We had used our previous SIS for 10 years and were somewhat dead set against changing. No school wants to transition something as detailed and in-depth as their students' files and data. We were not satisfied with our prior SIS’s price and what it offered but also didn’t want the hassle of changing over to something new. I don’t know that we have researched something as much as we did for a new SIS platform. Rediker consistently appeared to be the best option, so we made the leap. Rediker made the transfer process easy (although it is a bit in-depth, which just made the process flawless). Their training is superb, and customer support acted as if we were the only customers they were dealing with. Our entire administration team is beyond happy with the product; we are actually happy with all of the Rediker line we use (web design and hosting, teacher evaluator, and the SIS).

    All of Rediker’s product line is priced to give you the best value for your money. Our school’s previous SIS was 25% more expensive annually and delivered half the product quality. As for AdminPlus, it is easy to use, and given the amount of data available (both preprogrammed and user-added), it is remarkable that they made it so easy to navigate. The layout is great, and there are options to customize, which is great given the overwhelming amount of information available.
    Cons:
    I am unsure if this is a genuine “con,” but Rediker offers numerous data fields, some preprogrammed and others that the system allows you to add. The amount of data can be overwhelming at first. However, if you take the time and customize the data fields and screens as needed, it becomes manageable. If you are coming from the database side and are used to that, you may struggle a bit, as a few of the features are still only in the database. But, as they transition parts into AdminPlus, you need to be in the pure database side. Additionally, as they transition, each step is flawless, making AdminPlus even better to use.

    Rediker had the best price for the most options. We also wanted a company that would build our website and host it, which many do, but Rediker’s package was the best option.

    Reasons for switching to AdminPlus SIS

    We were not satisfied with the depth of the product. It has very limited options, data fields, and data sets. We also found the price to be very high compared to what they offered, particularly in relation to companies that provided more in-depth services. In MySchoolWorx's defense, their customer service was excellent, and I think they are a viable option for smaller schools (with fewer than 150 students).

    One of the Best Integrated Options Available and at a Reasonable Price

    Rediker is a family owned company and it shows, and in the most positive of ways. Some of these bigger companies may have more resources but also an incoherent strategy a lot of the time. Rediker seems to know who it is and where it wants to go, and now it's just a matter of executing, and I see them doing just that. I cannot stress how helpful Rediker was to us during Covid-19. They released the Google Classroom / Rediker GradeBook integration in December/January, then in March Covid hit and we were just so grateful to rely on Google Classroom AND just dump the grades into the Rediker GradeBook, without the teachers having to double enter everything. That one thing puts Rediker into a whole different category, such that if you're using Google Classroom you really need to look at Rediker and see if it would fit your school's needs. It will 100% fit your budget as compared to any other system with the features Rediker has. Also their Support and Cloud Services and Sales teams were just awesome and responsive during Covid. Many competitors' systems in our area at least "fell down" at some point, especially those first few weeks, but Rediker remained rock solid the whole time, we had no outage or even latency the entire time.

    The software is solid and reliable once you learn it and its quirks (like all software has). Training and Support are outstanding at helping you. It covers all you need from a SIS, GradeBook, and Parent Portal, and has some billing, accounting, and fundraising options. The huge recent addition is integration between the GradeBook and Google Classroom, that really helped our school during Covid-19 as did their fantastic Support and other teams. We were very happy to renew our contract with Rediker this year, they are a solid company on the right path. And they have perhaps the most reasonable price point on the market.
    Cons:
    They aren't fully web based end to end yet (as are many other companies in its space). Of course all the student, parent, and teacher experiences are web based or with an app. But the administrator has to remote into a Windows environment, which is really just a minor inconvenience all things considered, and they are working on the new web based Admin Plus. Also their fundraising partner could be much better.

    Reasons for choosing AdminPlus SIS

    Rediker may have the best combination of integration, features, and a reasonable price point on the market right now. Veracross for example has a decidedly unreasonable price point. FACTS SIS is reasonable but I'd say Rediker is ahead of / better than them overall. Community Brands / Senior Systems / inResonance / Ascendance doesn't seem to have a coherent strategy, they just buy stuff and take forever to integrate it properly. I'd put PowerSchool in that bucket as well, and PowerSchool still doesn't offer an acceptable integrated fundraising solution for independent schools. BlackBaud is the only true competitor to Rediker in my opinion, and it's easily twice the cost and much more depending on the modules. Both Rediker and BlackBaud have integration between the gradebook and Google Classroom, so to me if your school uses Google Classroom then those are your 2 best choices and it's just which one your budget allows for. I've reached this conclusion over many years of evaluation of all these companies and products. Rediker's Sales, Training, Support, Cloud Services, all that is exemplary, a very "well run" and structured company operationally and you see many others that just aren't that, including/especially some of these bigger ones.

    I have been an AdminPlus user for 12 years, and it just keeps getting better with time! I have found that the customer service team is very responsive to questions and suggestions. The new adminplus.com is fantastic. It is user friendly, customizable for various users and an incredible tool well worth the money that we pay.
    Cons:
    There is nothing that I "like least" about AdminPlus. With adminplus.com getting up and running, there are still some of the items that I would like to be use that are not yet available, however they provide regular updates and constant communication about what is coming up.
