Logility Helping to Collate Data

Pros:

It allows our company to collate data from customer forecasts and create a demand plan for our supply team to produce from.

Cons:

At the beginning the small amount of data skews the planning tool a bit and requires some manual adjustments until enough history is loaded to properly create a forecast.

Logility Platform is fairly functional and is reliable and has its uses

As a user of Logility I really appreciate the fact that it allows me to access data from various sources and now my boss has stopped asking me questions about the graphs since they appear sufficient enough. And also I really enjoy the fact that the technical support staff are available 24/7 even late at night and hence I can solve any issue at any point in time.

Pros:

The primary purpose of the use of Logility is to provide our team with a way to view data that would otherwise require the use of hundreds or thousands of excel spreadsheets and with Logility we are able to view both our inventory levels and sales figures in one location. In doing so, I save time and I can leave work thinking of things other than numbers.

Cons:

Each time the company performs an upgrade on their system, every single function appears to break. It seems as though they do no testing of the upgrades before releasing them. I spend numerous hours each week repairing the dashboards that were working perfectly well the previous week. Furthermore, I believe the documentation provided by the company is subpar and written with the intent of describing a completely different software system.

Reasons for switching to Logility Platform

Logility Platform was less expensive but offered the same features.

Limited BI Tool

Great for a small companies making their first step into BI but maybe will be quickly outgrown, avoid if a mid to larger size company.

The Big Thing That Prevented Our Spreadsheets From Controlling the Office

It is beginning to help us combine different departments (headcount, sales, budgeting) onto one cloud platform so they are at least looking at the same version of truth, and not multiple versions of the same spreadsheet, which is beneficial. In addition to all of this, the extremely fast calculation engine will allow us to run large scenario models quickly and honestly, it is the reason I am able to complete my job within enough time to actually leave for the day.

I'm happy that our business staff (Finance & Sales) is able to make their own changes to our logic instead of always having IT Implementation do these simple fixes. And the logic changes made by our staff are identical in concept to how the other office programs work, so I’m thankful we didn’t have to learn anything new and they are also adding new features constantly or whatever is gained by the product by doing that.

Cons:

You have to be doing something massive with it to justify the cost of this product, otherwise it’s way too expensive for basic tasks. I would say the biggest complaint I have, and I mean major complaint, is the concurrency issues – that blue box that locks you out of a process when another user is running a process, it seems like this is happening to every client we have and they complain about it all the time This creates downtime for everyone and you just sit around and wait and wait.

Halo Review

It has taken a long time to implement, much of that is on us because of the way we decided to implement. I don't believe we were given sufficient advise in the beginning. We have since transferred to new account and project managers and things are moving along nicely. My advise would be to understand the software using simplified data first, once you have a good understanding of the extractions, transformations and how those translate through SQL to the BI tool, you are on your way to building a user friendly BI tool.

The ease of creating dashboards and reporting and the transparency and self service of the Data Warehouse.

Cons:

The amount of time the BI tool takes to load and the high cost of upgrading to more bandwidth on the server.

Reasons for choosing Logility Platform

The transparency of what the product could provide and a SQL driven Data Warehouse. All other demo's we received were more smoke and mirrors, I could really see the potential Halo had and how we could remain in control of our data through the Demo.

Efficient supply chain planning with logility

Logility has allowed us to reduce unneeded inventory and has improved forecast accuracy this directly decreased stockouts/holding costs. I feel more confident in the decisions we have made to plan our life because the data seems better linked and reliable.

Pros:

The thing I love best about Logility is the ability to consolidate demand and supply planning in one place with out having to jump from spreadsheet to system. I use it every day, to see our forecasts, understand inventory levels and work with the procurement team and all in real time. The sync to our ERP is seamless so I always have the most current data when making planning decisions.

Cons:

The upfront configuration was time intensive and it wasn’t easy getting everyone up to speed on how to use the more advanced forecasting models. Some reports still need the odd hack (especially when I want to parameterize across territories or product lines). I also wish the interface was a little more modern and streamlined, it can be clunky to navigate between views.

I do supply chain planning on Logility Platform

Logility Platform helps to gather all our planning and forecasting functions into a single record and by doing this we need less tools. So it increases our forecast accuracy and I don't need to run for manual updates.

Pros:

I use Logility Platform to plan the demand and supply process. It makes it simpler to gather things from different places and model in a easier way. And what I like is that it provides real time view of how the supply chain is performing without any need of spreadsheets.

Cons:

Atfirst you might think the interface is hard to adapt to but it gets better over time. Also there are aspects of the configuration that needs more use of technology by me. It also sometimes freezes when running large data sets which is irritating and it needs to be fixed.

What I really like is its ability to create a cohesive narrative throughout the planning process. Furthermore, the platform is excellent, and its forecasting engines are powerful. I also appreciate the visibility and functionality of the Digital Twin, as it provides a clear view of the supply chain, allowing for scenario simulations.

Cons:

What I didnt like was the initial setup, as it requires a significant investment of time and team training. the learning curve makes is a somewhat complicated process.

Very good balance between usability and functionality Relatively simple for business analysts and computer literate users to "own" the cube side of things Very easy for people with low/medium computer skills to analyse the data (presentation side of things)

Cons:
