Pros:

Ease of use. the added benefit of the new AI system that is easy for my staff to use and saves time on medical records

Cons:

Sometimes it doesn't pick up the right words, and the microphone is sensitive to all the ambient noise

Get Talkatoo if you need to dictate on your MAC. You don't want it...you need it.

When Dragon stopped supporting “Microsoft Word for Mac,” Talkatoo saved my career. I am a physician, not a veterinarian for whom the program was initially developed. But trust me, it makes no difference what kind of work you do. If you use a Mac and need voice-to-transcription software, go with Talkatoo. I cannot recommend them too highly. The company itself, its developers, and tech support are the best in the industry and the most accessible you will ever find.

Pros:

In my work as a physician, the accuracy rate is impressive. Even technical words come out right. And if I need a word or phrase that's out of the ordinary, I add it to my dictionary and suddenly its recognized about ninety-eight percent of the time.

Cons:

I initially had some problems with punctuation. Every time I dictated the word "colon" as it referred to a portion of the intestinal system, a punctuation mark - : - showed up. Talkatoo took care of the problem. Getting dates properly transcribed took a little learning on my part. But, as usual, that's been handled too.

Reasons for switching to Talkatoo

Dragon stopped making and supporting Work for Mac I use in all my work.

Talkatoo changed my life

My experience has been awesome really from day 1 just being like the ease of being able to just record my notes and not have to type has been awesome it caught me up like 3 month worth of records in maybe a couple of days worth of time for the time it would've taken me to type them I would have never been able to catch up that quickly .

Nothing it has been great so far. The o my down side is that my doctor downloaded on my surgery computer so I have to minimize it.

My staff love it. Makes their documentation easier and faster. It captures important details in the conversation ands makes a note!

It can conveniently get all the information and record it into the medical notes. We don’t have to worry about missing important recommendations we make because they will be documented!

Cons:

The format of the notes lacks definition and seems to be all bundled up. I prefer a more bulleted outline with things broken up instead of in sentences. It’s hard to read sometimes

The AI transcription is superior to the competition and highly recommended to friends. It's considered much better than Easy Vet AI summaries, which has a lot of catching up to do.

Go for it you wont regret it

It catches everything. If I was writing the note, I might forget something my dog's doctor said in passing, so I do like that.

I was skeptical at first because it's AI, and I like typing my notes to ensure everything is there, but this does it all

I have a horrible memory and a poor note taker so I appreciate having the conversation recorded and put into clear sentence form.

Cons:

I didn't like not being able to edit after submitting but I believe that problem has been fixed. Thank you
