About GroupMe

GroupMe is a web-based team messaging application designed to help businesses facilitate group communication by enabling employees to send direct messages and share locations, pictures, files, and more. Key features include gallery view, like messages, custom emojis, and mute notifications.

Teams using GroupMe can capture videos right from the app or upload old memories to share with friends and team members. The platform allows users to explore all photos that have been shared with every group they're in, tap the heart button to like messages, and mute messages during meetings.

Simple and Effective

I used to for college and the club meeting dates. It's easy to use rather than making a Facebook page or group chat

Pros:

Team Communication and easy to use and chatting with others is really easy to use. I do like how simple it is to use, and it's not all over the place and complexed.

Cons:

I would say the design of the app could have styled it differently. I like the idea of the app being stylish and presentable. Of course, I understand that is not the main course of action. which I mean, I don't have an issue with it.

Pros:

It’s easy to differentiate between different chats and I love that you can have different topics within each chat!

Cons:

If I had to pick one thing I didn’t like about GroupMe it’s that topics notify everybody in the whole GroupMe instead of just the people in that topic

GroupMe address the issues that we were facing as far as communication goes and didn’t have a bunch of other bells and whistles, and we like that it was so straightforward giving us exactly what we needed for our community

Good for creating or joining groups

It is a good place to create a group chat without having to give out your phone number like in a message chat

My experience with GroupMe has been amazing to say the least. It's an awesome software to use whether I'm chatting with a group or making conference calls to go over business plans. it definitely is amazing to have.

GroupMe is for me

GroupMe is one of the best communication apps that I know of and I surely have tried others that did not amount up.

I have been using GroupMe for 15 years now. It has been used in my school and now we are using for a business. Great for multi person communication.

I truthfully did not have any complaints about GroupMe. I never experienced anything that would deter me from using it.

Great Collaboration Tool Clearing History Could Use Some Work

Overall, GroupMe has done an outstanding job creating this app and allowing people to connect with other individuals to collaborate.

Pros:

It is easy to join and create groups and also add other members. You can send messages in the main group channel or even create separate chats for different people in a GroupMe to send messages pertinent to certain individuals.

Cons:

I don't like how if you leave a group you never intended to join, it is still tied to your account and you can't remove it from your history. Users should have the option to remove the groups they join then left from their history and it can be deleted from the chat.

Group Me For the WIN

I have been using it for many years and its ability to help me as for quotes from other companies has been great. I was able to have hyperlinks in there to that help me.

Pros:

Group me allows me to stay in conversation with so many different groups all at the same time. I love that I can use it for work with different departments. I can also use it for sports teams my kids are on. It just helps me stay more organized.

Cons:

I didn't like the fact that I was not able to add some people to the group chat it I didnt organize it myself. I wish that was an option for me.

I have used GroupMe for years. I appreciate the simplicity of the app version. I will continue to use GroupMe for various sports teams. The ability to have communications and quick replies is vital when sharing updates.

Pros:

What I like most about GroupMe is the simplicity of the software. The fact that communications can stay in one place is helpful. I use GroupMe exclusively for sports team communications and the features that are offered for quick replies are top notch (including the user interface). The prices cannot be beat either. The fact that you get some much integrated without a cost is truly game changing.

Cons:

The interface can be a bit outdated. The inability to search individual chats can make finding information difficult. And it can, at times, run slow or have issues syncing. But none of these are deal breakers.
