Cons:

They should improve more by adding more ai including old, young, mid, child and so on

My experience is awful.Tried my best to use Amazon text to speech platform but didn't find a way to sign up.

I like it's available in 40 languages with male and female voices.

Cons:

Sign up process is a quest. It's not normal like other apps to sign up through Google account. You have to write 12 digits codes out of no where. I have an Amazon account and I tried my best to find 12 digits to sign up but all in vain. Wasn't expecting this from Amazon.

Every content creator is using Eleven Labs. It's voices are familiar now so I want to try new voice overs.

5 Stars For High Quality

Plug and play. I use it in third party applications that have overtopped the machine interface with their own user interface. This is a great help. Makes it super easy as a user to work with. It always works for me. Unlike some other applications I have used I think this one is here to stay. Consistency and availability are high marks to get. This app does.

It's ease of use. I gave this application 5 stars because of its versatility and technical ability. It is way beyond what even could be imagined even 5 years ago. Bravo AWS for an application the connects people so well.

Cons:

Some voices are weak. I just use a different higher quality voice if that happens. Of which most are.

Reasons for switching to Amazon Polly

As a caregiver for a disabled sibling I have researched and used many TTS engines, for a long time. Amazon Polly has everything I need to make video animations and communicate with my disabled sibling. I use it professionally and am always happy with the results.

Overall, the tool works pretty well and it will create loads of voice-over content. Just understand the resulting voices will sound like a computer.

If you need to create some text-to-speech content and you're not concerned with the voice sounding "robotic". Then this service actually works well and you can get a lot done quickly.

Cons:

The voice sounds unnatural and robotic, so you would not want to narrate any information that requires nuance or a sense of "humanity".

Amazon Polly makes truly natural text to speech accessible and useable. The range of ages and personalities available make creating voiceovers that require more than one character a breeze. A key feature for the busy creator is that you don't have to utilize your speakers in order to create or download sound files. That means that if I need 20 single words hammered out for an educational game I am making I can simply type, download, delete, repeat without headphones or disrupting those around me. This one feature alone has saved me a ton of time and inconvenience.

Cons:

It takes a bit to learn how to fully customize output using SSML codes. However, for most applications no added customization is needed. And, if you do need it there is a handy tutorial a click away.

There are more than seven different voices available for AWS Polly, five of which are available for female voices and three for male voices. They also provide so many languages as a base. SSML is also offered by AWS Polly. A number of aspects of speech can be controlled by SSML tags, including pronunciation, volume, and rate.

Cons:

The service has so far been perfect, as they keep updating their services if they find any errors or bugs.

Polly's APIs and web console are top-notch, easy to use and really powerful, with a wide range of voices and languages to choose from. Integration with other AWS services, such as S3, are really handy

Cons:

The quality of the synthesized voices is a step below those available in Azure (which on the other hand has way worse tooling).
