Pros:

I love the ease of this product and how it moves all things into one space and I am not trying to put multiple platforms, it is all together!

Cons:

The calendar app keeps adding the old meetings when I add a new one, so I have multiple reminders on my Google Calendar and I cannot delete them.

Reasons for switching to TutorBird

I needed to stream line and found it frustrating to try and send out the invoices at the end of the month. This streamlined everything for me.

Pros:

I like that TutorBird offers a comprehensive platform that simplifies the management of tutoring businesses. It provides a user-friendly interface and integrates essential features such as scheduling, billing, and communication tools. The ability to easily organize sessions, track student progress, and handle administrative tasks in one place is highly convenient. And the most important thing, the price is so affordable

Excellent Program for Tutors and Educational Businesses

My workload has been dramatically cut. I no longer need a secretary, Tutorbird is so easy to use and their customer service is great. Most of the time when I need help from a company I go through several robots before I can talk to a human. Tutorbird is not like that. I talk to real humans and they are very patient and helpful.

Pros:

I love that the staff can see their schedules. I like that I can color code the tutorials so that the Tutors and find their schedules quickly especially if there is a last-minute change. I love that all of my students' information is in one place. I really love that the clients can pay, get their voices, and see their students' tutorial summaries. I love the automated email features. I love that both the students and the parents have their own portals. Tutorbird has so many features that I still haven't explored and used everything.

Cons:

I tried to find a con and couldn't. I did like the setup of the older version, it gave me more options for differentiating my staff ( like more color choices, and auto-fill was much better. I only had to enter the date range for my invoices once and as long as I didn't close my window, each invoice will have that date range. Now I have to apply the date range every time I do an invoice)

Reasons for choosing TutorBird

Functionality, Customer Service, Easy to use, able to add PayPal for payment, able to customize invoices to reflect my business, automated emails (send out birthday wishes, appointment reminders, etc.), Price, able to add my staff and them also having access to the schedule.

Reasons for switching to TutorBird

This definitely catered to my profession. Rain Maker is a martial arts software and I had to make so many alterations to get it to work for my business. I also had to have a secretary to help out with all of the office functions needed. With Tutorbird mostly everything I need is in one place.

That we are unable to pay the tutors. It will make operations easier.

The one stop shop aspect to TutorBird is the best! My students all over the world can access their portal, notes, scheduling, invoicing, after class notes, my blog and resources I add for them. It's an awesome tracking tool for them as well!

Cons:

I wish students could buy a bulk package and not be scheduled and use invoicing. I have to use another system to allow bulk package purchases.

Useful platform, just needs to have simpler descriptions.

I'm still trying to get into a rhythm with using TutorBird to create my invoices. Every month, it feels like I'm having to re-learn how to make the invoices the way I like them.

Platform for all my tutoring needs - calendar, invoicing, website

Cons:

A few things: - some things are difficult to navigate. For example, each month, I have to manually change my invoice through my business profile in order to have the invoice number by the month and year. - I'd like to have more control over what is printed on the Description for the invoices. - I'd like to be able to automatically input Venmo and PayPal. Right now, I have to manually input those transactions. - I'd like to be able to change the format of how wide the lines of the invoice are. I'd like the option of "fit to page" - I started to create my website using TutorBird, but ran into difficulties where I couldn't delete or back out one of my selections. It's not obvious how to do this. I had to abandon the task.

Does all my admin work for my small business, such as scheduling, payments etc.

Cons:

Further customisations of the business settings, including using credits to sign up for lessons (if prepaid), similar to the make-up credit system. On the website creation section, customisation of the actual widget itself and choosing what to add for each widget.

Easy to use, functional, does not log you out. And it can be used on all platforms, PC, laptop, mobile phone, etc.

Cons:

Some reporting functions are limited, and also the email and text message templates cannot all be changed.

Out of all the individual tutoring business options, this is by far the best I've found, especially for the price! $14.95 USD per month is great for all the services TutorBird provides. I created a website through them, and for the most part, it does everything I need it to. Their support team is also quite responsive.

Cons:

While the website does everything I need it to, it certainly lacks the ability to customize. You have to use their website building blocks, and there is little you can do outside of what they provide. I also would like to see improvement for tutors and learners in different time zones. For those of us who travel, it would be extremely helpful to simply change the time zone in settings, then have the lessons reflect that new time. However, you have to do all of that VERY manually.

Feature request

It is great overall, I would to know if there’s a way to calculate commissions too. For example, a student pays $100. The tutor completes the class and he needs to be paid $50. The tutoring business is run by two people in which the profits are split equally. So not only do I want to know that I have to pay the tutor $50, I also want to know how much is owed to each partner in the business which in this case will be equal. Partner 1 received $25 and Partner 2 also receives $25

Pros:

Being able to easily see how much a tutor is owed at the end of the month.

Cons:

Not sure what’s the difference between “absent, give make up credit” and “absent, no make up credit”? They both count towards the payroll
