About Cinebody

Cinebody is a cloud-based video production management solution that helps businesses remotely manage and direct videos on a centralized platform. Professionals can invite new creators on projects and request them to join through codes, smart links or templated instructions via email.

Cinebody allows organizations to create custom shot lists and define various shot specifications including filming orientation, camera settings and example videos. Managers can configure access permissions for projects, review submitted footage and batch select specific videos according to requirements. Additionally, users can remotely communicate and provide directions to filmmakers through messages and push notifications.

Cinebody enables businesses to upload, publish and download videos from the platform, which can be shared by content creators across several social media channels. Pricing is available on annual subscriptions and support is extended via email and an inquiry form.

Pros:

anyone with an iPhone can be a filmer very easily, no - little training required. the software mitigates shooting in the wrong format, and makes sure you know what shots should look like all within the app. Unlimited filmers means you can deploy 100's of people.

Cons:

need more editing features and ability to move clips from project to project. Would like to be able to capture photos too.

Reasons for choosing Cinebody

Needed to capture content from 1500 events throughout the year in various locations while keeping costs low.

Cinebody is great to work with

Effective video is an essential part of our marketing strategy. Cinebody is a cost-effective way to make professional videos. The editing/producing staff is extremely responsive, does an excellent job of staying in touch with the customer and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The technical team works hard to figure out any glitches or anomalies. I highly recommend Cinebody for your video needs.

Pros:

Cinebody's platform makes it super-easy to set up a video shoot literally anywhere in the world and get broadcast-quality results. We made several short marketing videos, including testimonials from our target audience, which we are using to build brand awareness.

Cons:

We did have some glitches with the technology. Our person in the field was unable to get their iPhone to connect with the Cinebody platform. But the workaround was easy and we were able to complete the interviews and upload them later.

Cinebody has helped us create impactful films that demonstrate the real-life impact of our work. Our strategic producer is a pleasure to work with and Cinebody's [sensitive content hidden] are also very hands on and care about customer success.

Cons:

The software doesn't allow an easy way to do a mass delete of clips.

Don't bother with looking anywhere else. This is your partner!

I'm in the business of Customer service and can tell you that [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and his team blew me away. What we produced in the craziest time frame was mind blowing to me. When I though that we were about to launch and meet the deadline, something on our end came up and in my mind we would be thrown off by a couple days. Nope! [SENSITIVE CONTENT] kinda refused to accept that we were gonna miss the deadline. Neither a weekend nor time of day seemed to be a factor. Whelp, we met the deadline. Oh and by the way, we basically did this in less than 10 ten days, which is unheard of! From the stores all the way to the stake holders in the company, the response was phenomenal!

Reasons for switching to Cinebody

The cost differential was enormous. This avenue is also more personalized for all parties involved.

Crowd based content capture

At first, I thought of Cinebody as a novelty and didn't have a use for it. But then I had a quick turn project come in with zero budget and required footage from across the USA. Cinebody was the perfect solution and was easy and cost effective to implement. Since then, I have used it countless times and during the pandemic, it has been my go to software for capturing authentic content from users.

Pros:

The best part of this software is the ability to utilize the cameras on user's smartphones to capture user generated content anywhere in the world. The shot list makes it easy for average users to understand the direction for each shot and ensure they properly capture each shot.

Cons:

The software is currently only for iOS, but there are work arounds for android users. I would also like a "download all footage" feature.

I've work on two project with the Cinebody team and have had amazing experiences with both Cinebody teams. Not only are they beyond accommodating, they also have the video creativity to suggest what will make for great videos. All finished videos of our projects have captured everything we would have hoped for and even more. It such a pleasure to work with Cinebody!

Pros:

The software is easy to install on your phone which makes it easy for our users. Since it's app based, users have the ability to capture videos anytime since everyone always has their phones with them.

Cons:

Although I hear it's in the new release, having the ability to capture photos will be an added bonus to the software.

Game changing option to have in our production quiver.

I love when we have a project that is perfect for a Cinebody execution. The software, app, the team, the support and the final product are invaluable to us.

Cons:

The only thing I can think of is that, at least in the past, it was a little clunky for those not on iPhone. But i know the team has put a lot of work toward addressing this - maybe even have solved it by now.

If you're not doing using this in some form then you should.

When productions when dark during COVID we were able to bolster sales by producing videos with User Generated Content. When things opened up we found Cinebody to be useful to bolster our high-end content with more day-to-day videos.

Accessibility to generate content from multiple viewpoints and sources.

Cons:

It would be really nice to have an android app. The price is a little steep for my clients, however it is really easy to show the value this app provides.

We signed on for another year!

Our Cinebody Producer, Jake was very easy to work with. He guided us along the ins and outs of the program with many examples of how we could get started. He was available whenever we needed. We have had a great experience so far with our projects. Looking forward to using it more.

Pros:

In rural Alberta, Canada, we have great difficulty bringing video crews to our different locations in the region we serve. The ability to create your crew with the participants who are on location was a great value. It saved in production costs and gave the filmers pride to be able to contribute to the project.

Cons:

Not having an Android app option to work with. However, we do have a workaround for that.
