About iMovie

iMovie is a video-making software that helps businesses turn photos and videos into storytelling movies. Administrators can create shareable videos to commemorate moments, memories and sceneries.

The platform enables creators to utilize built-in themes as well as templates to create personalized trailers in 4K video resolution. iMovie allows teams to add custom studio logos, cast names, credit rolls and other elements to build visuals. Additionally, supervisors can apply music and sound effects and include voice-overs for narration.

Powerful features on a small an affordable package.

iMovie is an excellent entry level option for video editing. The tools are basic but valuable for creators. It’s very reliable and plays well with the rest of the Mac ecosystem of apps.

Pros:

It integrates very well on the Mac ecosystem. Works great with photos; GarageBand and the iWorks set of applications.

Cons:

Once you are experienced with video editing; iMovie will come short and the tools are basic; the next step will be Final Cut Pro.

Editing software for beginners

Because I was working at a smaller church at the time, iMovie was perfect for our video production needs. I was able to use it to create an edit Movies that gave me one more avenue of communication with our congregation.

Pros:

iMovie is fairly user-friendly for people who are less experienced at video editing but still have some media experience. I found it relatively simple to piece together clips and audio files to make videos that look moderately well made.

Cons:

Piecing together clips can get a little clunky at times Since the dragon drop feature is not conducive to the use of ansince the dragon drop feature is not conducive to the use of a track pad. Another issue was that it was not always easy to manage video and audio fades.

Great free casual movie maker

Overall, the experience is good if I am trying to make a quick movie that is not necessarily professional. There are many instances where this is great. However, if I wanted to make a professional video for a company, then I need to use a more robust program.

Pros:

If you are casually making videos this program is perfect. You can use your device to do all parts of the video creation including capturing content, editing, and exporting.

Cons:

Using your device to make a lot of edits can become cumbersome due to the small size of your device. It also does not have as many functions as paid versions of video editors.

Cons:

Processing time is a bit slower than others and I wish there was an easier way to create portrait size videos instead of the multi-step process I’ve been doing.

Move Over To iMovie

I enjoy posting videos for work related events, along with personal moments: the software allows me to be creative and often already knows what I need before I even knew I needed it to be aesthetically pleasing. The functionalities provide a very professional end result when it comes to making videos for social media posts. The software can also be integrated with marketing our brand.

Runs great on my iPhone 13 Pro Max

It’s been an okay experience with it, since it’s an Apple app it runs very good in my phone, but from my point of view lack some functionality or tools.
