About Prophix One

Prophix is a financial management solution used for financial consolidation, budgeting, analysis, planning and management reporting. The solution provides a spreadsheet-style interface that helps users to analyze financial data and organize information. Prophix can be deployed both cloud and on-premises and is suitable for a range of industries such as financial services, construction, government, and utilities.

Prophix lets users manage information such as budgeting requirements, cash flow, balance sheets and income statements. Data analysis tools are also available. The solution supports both non-financial and financial budgeting, including top down, bottom up, zero-based and activity-based methodologies.

The solution offers multiple modeling options for forecasting such as inter-period forecasts, "‘what-if" analysis and rolling forecasts. It also provides modules for saving personnel records, such as salary, medical expenses and tax calculations.

Support is offered via phone and email.

With its Multiple Scenarios, powerful calculation engine with capabilities to handle complex calculations, the product is easy for end users as well as advance users.

User friendly and flexible and feature rich product. A Product which supports Multiple scenarios and geared up with different user-cases and fast and can handle complex calculations.

Cons:

Currently certain limitation hinders the application to be deployed in larger enterprises. e.g. Process execution.

Pros:

It is a very intuitive software. It is easy to learn (and to teach). I especially like the Excel add-in functionality, which we use for financial consolidation, managerial reporting, budgeting and monthly forecasting. It is also a great tool for ad hoc reporting.

Cons:

Like any software, it can be sluggish sometimes - especially when dealing with large amounts of data.

Great for Budgeting!

Prophix is a really great tool for companies of our size or larger. I think that Prophix may be too intense for smaller companies who are looking for an easy solution to their financial reporting.

Through my use of Prophix, I have really liked the communication that their team has offered when it comes to aiding my company's needs. Their tools for budgeting are great when it comes to preparing for the following year.

Cons:

Initially, Prophix can be very difficult to use. Learning the different names behind certain processes in their programs was difficult at first.

Prophix One: A Powerful Ally for Finance Teams

Prophix One delivers on a solid experience for finance teams that are looking to modernize and move into more strategic analysis. The automation alone helped with reducing much of our manual work. Customer support is excellent and they will make sure you have your Prophix journey and goals mapped out.

Pros:

Prophix One is excellent for streamlining budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. It is able to take complex financial structures and make them easy to manage. Repetitive tasks can be automated and there is much less time spent problem solving manual errors.

Cons:

There can be somewhat of a steep learning curve depending on what you are looking to get out of the system. However, there is plenty of support to get you to where you need to be. Some ERP systems can be trickier to integrate and if you are using large datasets you might experience some slowdowns.

Overall I've enjoyed using it because it's customizable. Also for budgeting and reporting, we don't have much complaints.

I like the workflow process. Makes things very easy to customize in order to get through our budget approval process.

Cons:

The dashboarding. I think it's overall just not comparable to other dashboarding tools. It limits the number of visuals and the placement of visuals.

Good tool for Consolidation

very good for consolidation, cost effective and quality output reports. While the interface is user-friendly, mastering all the features—especially for complex consolidations—can take time.

in term of consolidation, challenging to preform different currency in conso. Users managing multiple legal entities across different currencies sometimes find the system lacks flexibility in how exchange rates are applied or updated.
