Excellent bang for the buck

Stated under the Pros: it's inexpensive and very easy to set up and just works. We integrated it with a data pipeline, and it performs extremely quickly and does a good job.

Very easy to set up and provides accurate address standardization at a good price. It is very good and very fast.

Cons:

Nothing major. It's not perfect, but we didn't expect perfection. The pricing tiers and volumes could be a little bit more clear.

Game changer, made me look really good in a new team!

I recently had a spreadsheet of 4,400+ addresses that needed cleaned up, corrected and verified. Needless to say, this was a HUGE undertaking. I spent many hours refreshing my Excel skill to clean it all but couldn't figure out how to verify the addresses efficiently until I came across Smarty.com. This was an ABSOLUTE game changer, I believe it was about $250.00, it validates addresses tells you if they're mailable or not and even if USPS shows it as vacant. Happy sales force=happy sales manager=happy office manager.

The fact that it is fast and accurate, when met with a 4400-line spreadsheet in a new team I needed help, this was it!

Cons:

Canada being in a separate search, it makes sense, but I wasted some of my searches because I didn't realize they were mixed in.

Reliable for domestic addresses

It was useful and trustworthy with domestic addresses like US and Canada. But did not fit our international usecase

It's reliable and well documented. I did not find implementing it too much of a hassle. Pretty straightforward

Cons:

It doesn't support much internationally which meant we needed to implement a secondary method to deal with international addresses.

Easy address lookup for form input

Our use case is auto-populating address fields on an input form. The documentation made it super simple to get going and build a solid solution. I love how simple it is to interact with the Smarty APIs. I wrote the integration in a couple of hours and haven't touched it in literally months.

Cons:

I was going to say price but for what we get and how easily we get it I think it is a fair value in the end. When we need to expand our address capabilities we'll be back.

Address Auto-Complete is a necessity not an option.

Initial contact was little challenging and made us nervous if sales is so slow to respond what support be like but overall it was ok.

It's fast in response even though we implemented it using a proxy on our app server and not hitting the APIs directly, it's still fast. Ease of implementation.

Cons:

If you need county and 4 digit zip extension you have to use two end points and it's not included in the primary address autocomplete.

Pros:

I had a very simple need - verifying a bunch of addresses - and it was incredibly easy to do in Smarty. I also had a few questions, and their customer support was personable and helpful. I would definitely use it again if I had the same need!

Cons:

While I had a simple need, Smarty certainly offers a whole lot more in its product suite. This made it slightly harder for me to navigate the site and get my simple task done. It wasn't a huge hurdle, though!
