About ReadyAPI

LoadUI Pro is a cloud-based solution that helps businesses of all sizes conduct load, stress and endurance tests for API frameworks, microservice architecture and databases. It enables IT professionals to use the predefined functional test cases to create and configure new load tests according to the applications’ requirements.

The platform offers various types of load strategies such as fixed, variable, burst, ramp sequence and more, which lets teams simulate visitor traffic and load on test websites and evaluate the performance of APIs. Administrators can utilize LoadUI Pro’s server monitoring functionality to display various metrics including server response time, the number of simulated users and more using real-time graphs.

Using a distributed load testing feature, users can run functional tests across multiple computers to simulate the load on the target server. Pricing is available on an annual license basis and support is extended via documentation.

WebServices Testing is Easier Now!

ReadyAPI is mainly used by the Quality and Development departments in my organization. We mainly use it to conduct different types of testing on all kinds of web services like SOAP and REST services. It helps us conduct load tests, security tests, and functional tests as well. ReadyAPI is also very useful when it comes to automating the testing scenarios which helps us as a team get results much faster with better accuracy and thus delivering faster business value to our customers.

Pros:

I liked the Security Testing Features as it was very helpful in testing our APIs, Also the fact that you can use it to Automate your Test Scenarios which was very helpful as it saved around 50% of testing compared to manual testing.

Cons:

I did not like ReadyAPI's usability and user interface and I think it needs a lot of improvements but that does not necessarily mean that you cannot get great results with it. Actually, the tool helped us to be more efficient as a team and focus on more important tasks.

Pros:

The tool allows you to write automated load/performance testing scripts, record scenarios and add them to your tests, integrate the tests into your CI/CD pipelines and it provides rather good execution reports.

Cons:

The price is very steep and was too high for our budget, so we went with another open source tool.

Pros:

Allows us to take existing SoapUI tests and test backend services for stress/performance. Can scale tests run as needed. Amazon cloud integration is a big plus.

Cons:

Has more of a learning curve than SoapUI, sometimes difficult to re-use existing tests depending on how your datasets are being used.

ReadyApi is the best. More years ago we use SoapUI. But ReadyAPi is more more better.

Cons:

ReadyApi is a nice apllication, but it's expensive and there isnt a free version
