mailinator is very revolutionary application

mailinator is very revolutionary application and it is very fast in reciveing the verification codes, password reset emails, we are using this in salesforce cloud accounts creations, mailinator helped us to stop creating emails manually.

Just 5 minutes to start email testing

Mailinator is a good tool for testing email flows in our automated QA setup, it is easy to integrate and use.

Customer Support was great. It was easy to start with emails testing. And I like the statistics with the used data.

Cons:

The interface is a bit simple, but not a problem for me. And from the documentation view, you don't have a direct button to your dashboard.

Reasons for switching to Mailinator

They have a limit on a free plan. We have automated tests (just 2 that check 6 emails) and some days we need to test up to 10 times, others not at all. The monthly limit (not a daily limit) made it difficult to run tests.

Great customer service!

I had trouble getting my public box to populate, but customer service unblocked my domain within 24 hours.

I appreciated the customer support when my domain was accidentally blocked. Within 24 hours, the domain was unblocked.

Cons:

Nothing. I did not encounter anything that I did not like so far. I had trouble but customer service gave me thorough and helpful support.

Good use for testing!

We were testing an integration with an AI chatbot and needed to have testing candidates apply for fake positions, each test required and email address.

It is nice to be able to test communications as a company without having to create email addresses.

Cons:

Sometimes we needed the mailbox to last longer than it did.

Thanks for the review, James. Mailinator account storage is FIFO, so there is no time limit for messages to remain. Rather, new messages purge older ones. If you need older messages to stick around longer you need more storage... paid subs get more storage than Verified Pro accounts. Please reach out if you'd like help increasing this limit.

The flexibility, how easily I can get test my application’s email functionality with mailinator. Also I can choose any username I want.

Cons:

Sometimes I am not able to see the attachments in the email is something I don’t particularly like.

What I liked least about Mailinator is the inability to change the admin email address associated with the account. We love using the Golang library and integrating Mailinator with our test automation runs. SMS is also very cool!

I think Mailinator is a great product and I would recommend it to every co-worker or customer who needs the abilities the software contains. I use it almost every day.

I love the ability to create test emails on the fly, which allows us to test processes quicker compared to having to create "real" emails.

Cons:

I do not like how quickly messages are removed from an inbox and I also do not like that the email formatting isn't displayed properly.

If you are testing without Mailinator, you are not really testing.

The team was not doing live testing enough because it was a pain to setup new emails, or clean system data and then reuse emails. Setting up Mailinator has increased our testing of edge cases and sign up flows by just making the process easier. It has also improved our data because now that people have stopped using random email addresses we can just filter all of our mailinator accounts from live data. We are only starting to scratch the surface of the API and webhook functionality but the team seems pretty excited to sink their teeth in.

Easy to get started. Works flawlessly. Lots of useful features (API, webhooks etc.) as you dig deeper.

Cons:

I am just a manager but i have heard nothing negative from my team yet. They have been using individual accounts for a while, but we just went pro so we can use the advanced features.

Excellent tool for running QA testing using many email addresses

Very intuitive tool for QA testing that's made the process of testing with multiple emails easy. We love it and I recommend it to others who need this type of functionality running routine testing.

Extremely easy to set up and utilize so that you can run tests using many different emails. The one time we had a question we heard back quickly and the support was effective and very helpful.

Cons:

Nothing I can think of; it's been great. It was recommended to us by the company whose tool we are implementing and don't have any constructive feedback.
