About Grow

Grow is a cloud-based, business analytics and reporting solution suitable for small to midsize organizations. The solution allows users to create customizable dashboards for monitoring business workflows and key activities. Organizations can easily track key metrics essential for accelerating growth and success. The platform's ability to transform data into visual representations allows for better data interpretation and decision-making across all levels of the organization.

Grow pulls business data from a variety of sources and merges it into one single platform. It supports connection with Salesforce, Dropbox, Google Analytics, Twitter, MySQL, among hundreds of other sources, including databases and spreadsheets. It supports blending, mashing, cleaning, filtering and comparing of data sets from single or multiple sources.

Grow brings real-time data into the dashboard, allowing users to view trends as they occur and share information with their team. The built-in data editor allows users to create customized metrics for their business needs. GROW: A great tool for starting analytics

Was a great tool to make quick efficient data reports that a user could read and understand in less than 20-30 seconds.

Pros:

The interface could be understood quite easily with minimal training allowing for quick generation of data reports. The SQL backend, data connections and data warehouse allow for the user to go into much further depth with their data.

Cons:

Sometimes the platform would be slow to update and the data would could very rarely not update.

Solid BI Dashboard Solution

It's been great to build out the dashboards that we need to see what's working in real-time so we can make smart, data-backed decisions, in real-time.

Pros:

As a marketer who tends to geek out on performance data, it's been great to have a solid dashboard solution that allows me to connect multiple data sources, aggregate all the data and slice and dice to create visual charts, graphs and tables that paint a clear picture of how our marketing initiatives are performing.

Cons:

Again as a marketer (vs. a data analyst), there is a bit of a learning curve at first when figuring out how to leverage Grow's data manipulation and filtering tools. But the Grow team has continually made improvements to these systems, which have dramatically improved the metric/dashboard building experience. My main criticisms, which are probably not unique to Grow, just revolve around the integrations that they provide. They are still missing some popular platform connections that we need.

Grow offers a large list of software connections which makes it invaluable for a start-up seeking meaningful data insights across disparate systems.

Cons:

Some targeted visualizations or KPIs were difficult to calculate based on the limited transformations offered, though they do provide some tools for further customization that are only limited by technical knowledge.

Pros:

Works great to consolidate disparate data sources and create metrics that make sense. For the cost vs. other options it's a great tool. It's really helped us move more towards keeping an eye on the things that truly matter in our business.

Cons:

It's a little difficult initially to fully understand how to get the data into the system. But, once you've done it then it becomes pretty easy.

HORRIBLE Experience

I have found the experience from the beginning to be poor, I over looked it originally as their product is decent. The ongoing poor customer service is why we are leaving. The invoicing was atrocious, our CPA accountants could not make sense of it. Their system is not set up for Canadian credit card charges, always charged USD, then their solution was to return our payments but then charge us again only to result in the same issue. We are a small business and do not have time for these games. Then when trying to cancel, the contract does not mention any auto renewal clause for another annual term but references another document that was never sent. This company is poorly operated with a high oprice tag and I DO NOT recommend it, particularly with other better competitors out there.

Decent integration that are easy to use on your own.

Cons:

Pushy sales team. Poor Customer Service. Expensive onboarding, where after 3 times in the platform, I knew how to use it better than the on boarder. Worst invoicing and I have ever dealt with. Invoicing does not work well for Canadian clients, they cannot figure it out.

Grow for Marketing Teams

Grow is a great interim analytics tool to bridge the gap between marketing and operations. The ability to integrate custom spreadsheets with real time data certainly make it a product to drive insights for marketing teams. It lacks the ability to create anything using ai or with any sort of speed.

Pros:

The best features about Grow are the native integrations that pull in data. This makes building your metrics and dashboards easy. Their support team and engineers are very knowledgeable and helpful along the onboarding process.

Cons:

The lack of templates for dashboards, especially in Marketing, where 90% of the dashboards and metrics are the same for all businesses, is my only frustration. Taking Google analytics and building a web traffic 101 dashboard should be simple, it just takes too long. Once you do take the time to set any metric and dashboard up, it does a great job staying updated and will show you exactly what you built.

One of the things I liked most about the Grow BI system is how user-friendly and intuitive it is, even for users who do not have a strong technical background. The interface is clean and well organized, which makes it easy to navigate dashboards, filter data, and quickly find the information needed. I also appreciated how the system presents data visually through charts and graphs, helping complex information become easier to understand and analyze. Another strong advantage of Grow BI is its ability to integrate data from multiple sources into one centralized platform, saving time and reducing manual work. The real-time reporting feature is especially valuable because it allows users to make informed decisions based on up-to-date data. Overall, Grow BI improves efficiency, supports better decision-making, and makes data analysis more accessible and effective.

Cons:

One of the things I liked least about the Grow BI system is that some advanced features can feel limited or less flexible when compared to more complex BI tools. While the platform is very user-friendly, this simplicity can sometimes make it challenging to perform highly customized analyses or create very specific calculations without workarounds. I also found that initial setup and data integration can take time, especially when connecting less common data sources, which may require additional support or technical assistance. In some cases, dashboard load times can be slower when working with large datasets, which can interrupt workflow. Additionally, customization options for visuals and layouts are somewhat restricted, making it harder to tailor dashboards exactly to specific preferences or branding needs.

Grow updates

I need things to update every 15 min, when grow stop updating that is the only time I have an issue!

Sometimes the updating gets "stuck" and I have to contect [sensitive content hidden] to nudge it manually or to contact Grow for help
