It just works.

I found ImportYeti while researching Ukulele manufacturers. Many brands and retailers are unclear about their supply chain. After discovering the business names of several brands, I was able to easily track suppliers and shipments on ImportYeti. Each result returns one free Bill of Lading, which is awesome! This can show quantities, types, origins, destinations, and more. The information is organized into charts and graphs, which helps to compare datasets. Not only is the data presented clearly, but almost everything is hyperlinked. You can find just about anything without ever touching a keyboard. All of my personal research utilized the free information available, and I found everything I needed. I tried using other import/export websites (including several US State's port authorities), and this is hands-down the best!

Pros:

The data is presented clearly, with charts and graphs. Everything is hyperlinked, which is an often overlooked feature in online resources. Every company you search for returns one free Bill of Lading.

Cons:

For me personally, no cons found. As with any service, there is a cost. While I would love everything to be free, I believe the cost is justified.

ImportYeti makes it incredibly easy to research U.S. import/export activity and build targeted prospect lists. The search is fast, the shipment history view is clear, and I can quickly understand who is buying from whom, how frequently, and at what scale. Huge time-saver for sales and business development.

Cons:

Sometimes company name matching can be inconsistent (similar names / subsidiaries), and I’d love more advanced filters (date range, HS code/keyword filters) and a smoother export option for larger lists.

Easy to find vendors. No cost. No ads. No gimmicks. This gives retailers an opportunity to improve their profit margins by locating vendors specific to their business.

Cons:

It’s not well known, a hidden gem. Also wish there were more hyperlinks to vendors that would make it easier to connect.

A great source for sourcing import data on the market. Helped me find vendors to work with and know my competition when approaching new customers. User interface is easy to use and is great value for money.

Cons:

Data is limited to the US and Canadaian market. Would be great if the markets covered could include exports of these markets as well.

Fast, intuitive and very helpful !

I am actively searching about performance and styling parts for my car. I was curious to see where big companies that make intercoolers, induction kits, carbon fiber body parts, etc... get there materials. A huge parts of them was actually ordering materials or even ready-to-sell parts from China ! ImportYeti changed my mind on the chinese production. If used correctly, it can save you time and money !

The interface is intuitive, it's very simple to read results, the abundance of details is very helpful. Shortcuts to search companies name and adress on google is great.

Cons:

Actually, for the use I have of it, it's only pros for me. It's fast, simple and accurate. What else ?

[sensitive content hidden] and the Yeti

I used this to try and understand the market but tbh there was so much information it was overwhelming. Which is a good thing. It was definitely a user error situation. I need to really figure out what I need and search for that. It is way to easy to fall down a rabbit hole.

I appreciated the flexibility of use and how up to date it was. There is similar software out here that isn't as updated or user friendly as this. I also liked the free options available so you can gauge if this is for you or not.

Cons:

The price :) I definitely wish it was a bit cheaper but I'm sure it is worth the price but... you did ask what I liked least.

Excellent data source and easy integration!

The steps were simple for API integrations. I used it with an OpenAI/Gradio app, and the data that came back was what I needed.

Goldmine of company and supplier data. API is super easy to use, and I got the help I needed quickly (very responsive).

Cons:

There's a lot more that ImportYeti seems to offer on their site than what I see in the API... would be great to be able to learn more about the differences, and how I might be able to achieve similar results via the API.

Cons:

I couldn't find every company I was looking for. Especially the big companies who have many daughter companies.

Free service made the website better to use.

Cons:

It can be very difficult to track down specific names a company might use. I do not think this is due to import yeti though. I believe it is due to how they fill out/file the manifest.

Excellent and generous Market Intelligence software

I have wonderful experience in using the software, since it really helps me find good supplier that shows proof of real business or shipment records.

Excellent in its data provisions, It gives us a lot of information like the shipment records, and all the other details.

Cons:

It can improve more in giving provisions on direct company website, but of course I understand they don't do that yet beacuse I used it free for now, and if they will put up more effort on that, I'm afraid they would put up fee for using their site.
