About Transaction Pro

Transaction Pro allows businesses to export, import and delete data in the form of invoices, journal entries and other documents in and out of QuickBooks.

Transaction Pro exports data in the form of various file formats including Microsoft Excel, TXT and Microsoft Excel. Users can select columns for export, delete transactions in batches and configure access permissions according to requirements.

Transaction Pro is available on one-time and annual subscriptions and support is extended via email, video tutorials, knowledge base, FAQs and other online measures.

Pros:

Transaction Pro Importer/exporter has saved me a lot of time. Conversion clients are common in my world and this is the only tool I've found capable of carrying transaction level details across platforms.

Cons:

Sometimes when requesting paid phone support, it can take a few days to get your appointment. This can be inconvenient, but is always worth the wait.

Great value, kinda quirky

Transaction Pro is great because it can be purchased out right and has a proven history of success. The program is lightweight and saves time. Since Quick Books doesn't have this option natively, Transaction Pro is the best 3rd party solution.

Pros:

Transaction Pro allows you to take spreadsheet data and bulk import it into Quick Books. It's features include using simple formulas to combine data from 2 cells into one line; adding items to inventory; and including tax information. Once the data map is created it takes only a few minutes to import sales etc. Transaction Pro also has a pretty extensive knowledge base for setup, and troubleshooting.

Cons:

Transaction Pro requires a Quick Books user with near admin level access to work properly. The field mapping is very specific, if you change your import columns, you have to make a new map from scratch.

Software is OK, activation, licensing and ongoing support is poor

My customer starting using Transaction Importer in 2010. Over the years they had to purchase a couple of upgrades because they changed computers (activating and licensing has always been tough). My customer uses the software twice a year to import data to QuickBooks. In late November 2023 they received a message saying their version would be discontinued at the end of the year (approx. 6 weeks away) and they could upgrade for free to the new version. The email was vague and never stated that the software would stop working and they thought it would be like when Microsoft discontinues a Windows version; it can still be used, but no support or updates will be provided. Then when they go to use the software in Feb 2024, it can't access the activation server. They have been shut down. So the perpetual license they purchased no longer works. I contacted support on behalf of my customer and requested that they honor the original free upgrade offer. They said they couldn't. I am extremely disappointed as the original email was sent in late November 2023 and by the end of January 2024 the old version was killed off, unable to use. As my customer only uses the software twice a year, they were caught out. Admittingly my customer should have paid more attention to the email, but the big disappointment here is the fact the old software was killed off so quickly with poor communication from Rightworks, and now my customer now has to buy it again. I will now be advising my other customers who use this software look at other programs as this situation should never happen.

Although somewhat clunky, it does what it says it does; i.e. import data to QuickBooks

Cons:

Upgrade cost. All users are at high risk of the supplier discontinuing their product and blocking the software from accessing their activation server which instantly stops it from being able to be used.

Pros:

This App streamlined uploading daily sales reports. By creating a spreadsheet template for all locations to use and set up the importer, one can then simply import the spreadsheets and transaction pro will read the data. There is some finagling to ensure you have the correct format ... seemingly across operating systems - windows to Mac there may be some discrepancy.

Cons:

When upgrading to allow multiple users, additional users cannot access the app from the app list in quickbooks unless they are the initial owner of the app... so additional users have to sign in through intuit on the transaction pro website - unless possibly upgraded on Quickbooks? Though if you pay the extra price to upgrade the app, seems one should receive more benefit.

Pros:

I downloaded the Transaction Pro Importer/Exporter tool specifically to import payment transactions into QuickBooks. The tool dramatically reduced work time by automatically uploading the payment transactions directly to each customer.

Cons:

I have only used the tool for one feature which worked perfectly so I do not have any cons.

We couldn't figure out how to upload large batches of checks to Quickbooks Online - this was our answer!

Cons:

It can be a little finicky when mapping - but it's easy to work-around.

very usefull to download several invoice at the same-time on Quickbooks

Cons:

you cannot use it to delete a bench of invoice on Quickbook

Not for the beginner

Pros:

Email support is quick and helpful. I got this software for importing credit card transactions, I have not been able to figure it out with out alot of help. So my suggestion is to make it more user-friendly,. Video support doesn't cover what I have to do.

Cons:

Difficult to learn, not enough video support. I would hope that you work on the transaction part, some of us swipe our card often so more support for this is a must
