Cons:

You might want something custom, and you are limited to what you can change. But in my experience this is a plus since many people who try to do custom things end up breaking the system.

Sport Team and Organization Management

LOVE IT. I used this app to manage an organization of 100 athletes on 6 teams, run tournaments of 30+ teams in 6 divisions and manage teams in numerous sports. This is very user friendly, tutorials are clear and switching between concurrently running organizations is so simple.

Pros:

The online tutorials as well as quick email support from [SENSITIVE CONTENT]. Setting up organizations, teams, rosters and player movement is seamless. Live communication of schedule changes and scores is paramount to make sure athletes show up on time and in the correct location.

Cons:

The tournament feature is still in its infancy and is not ready to handle either organization needs. However, managing tournaments as a "League" worked easily.

Canadian, embedded COVID Waiver form, had features I needed and offered outstanding support

Reasons for switching to TeamLinkt

Team Snap was increasing their rates. We have many athletes that struggle financially and increasing fees to accomodate the app was not feasible. I also do not agree with TeamSnap rates being set by number (under 50 or under 500)

Not worth it

Overall, its not worth the hassle. We ultimately decided to go with jersey watch for 2022 and for 2023 we are going with sports engine.

Pros:

Some of the features are easy to use and others honestly dont make any sense. Although it tries to be as detailed as possible, alot of the things on there to use are extremely confusing. The app is just as clunky which is the biggest reason why we decided to leave.

Cons:

Most everything. Ease of use is not high on the priority list. The app needs work. It should be as easy as Registration --> Drag and drop into respective teams --> translate to app. we had issues with parents who have more than one child on different teams.

TeamLinkt - worth switching to

Switching from our previous platform was very easy as the platform is quite intuitive. The fact that it provided most of what we need and included a robust mobile application made this a very easy decision.

Pros:

Most features for registrations, league management, officials and scheduling are extremely easy to set up and work very well compared to many other platforms. Cost is incredibly low when looking at many other providers. The mobile aspect of TeamLinkt rivals all other companies and far better than most, especially if looking for a made in Canada solution.

Cons:

Some high level or complex reporting functions are not currently available, however plans to expand this area are apparently being worked on right now.

As per the above - Cost, functionality, ease of use, integrated mobile app, much lower payment processing costs.

Reasons for switching to TeamLinkt

Cost was a major factor, although the willingness of TeamLinkt to discuss add-ons and assist with all aspects of learning and implementing the software was also a key factor.

Love TeamLinkt

We are able to track any outstanding payments much easier, registration is much simpler, and scheduling is a breeze. Customer service was outstanding.

Pros:

It's hard to say what I liked most about this software program, I have used others as a parent but not from an organizational perspective. Our entire executive was thoroughly impressed with the program especially with there being no fee to use it. We are a youth sports organization so we do everything we can to keep costs to a minimum. The online registration, payment, and app integration were by far the best for us.

Cons:

The ads can be a little intrusive and annoying (this was really the only complaint we received) but we completely understand and respect why they are there and appreciate that we are able to use the program fee due to this.

Pros:

TeamLinkt has helped organize our team management for our entire association. It is simple to use and navigate as a player (user), team manager and an administrator. - Calendar syncing so team managers do not have to manually enter games/practices. - Chat and email functions for teams. Ability to share photos. - Email functions for the associations to each team or just team admins. - Direct links for our team store. - Game updates live. - Was great for Covid with the waiver functionality (great customer service to get that going based on feedback from customers)Overall, TeamLinkt is great!!

Cons:

Only one item that could use improvement that I can think of right now: Notifications sometimes remain active (red) until the app is closed/refreshed.

Reasons for choosing TeamLinkt

Canadian company. Better pricing. Better functionality. Better ability to work with TeamLinkt to create better solutions to active issues (i.e. waiver function during covid).

EASE OF USE -- you do not need to be a developer to use this system, anyone can jump into the back end of the system and make things happen quickly

Cons:

making legacy data from previous seasons go away

Great for managing our rec softball league

Overall TeamLinkt has been a great solution for our league in providing us a simple online solution for game scheduling and management

Pros:

It is great that for the features we use, the software is free as we have a very limited budget. We use this for managing our teams and our league schedule as well as communicating to our teams. The attendance tracker is fantastic and these features are all easy to use.

Cons:

Our playoffs are a double elimination format and there is currently no specific support for this. We manage to do this manually for tracking purposes and it works as well as can using it that way.

Teamlinkt Useful for Club Volleyball Scheduling and Communication

I love that it is free to use for my club. We used another software that has similar features that we had to pay almost $600 to use each season for the amount of teams we use it for.

Cons:

Sometimes the app glitches/freezes and needs to be closed and reopened to have it work properly.

We are a nonprofit club with the goal of keeping our dues as affordable as possible for our players and their families so when I took over the club I looked for any areas of the club we could reduce costs and when I saw we were spending $600 on a communication platform, I researched other alternatives and found Teamlinkt.
