i really liked PromQL it allows to create detailed querys for metrics, that u can integrate it with kubernates so everything is in cloud, its really flexible and it reduces the need of complex configuration

Prometheus Platform Review

It is used for storing and querying metrics from different sources, as well as using it as a historical storage of metrics that can only be generated once and do not have historical data.

Its ability to support metrics received with the OTLP protocol allows for extended platform support, as well as allowing the use of a standard that is supported by many other platforms, facilitating easy platform migration.

Cons:

Although it supports metrics, it does not support traces and logs, so to relate them other platforms are needed, and depending on the platform the integration could be more or less complex.

Some of the cost calculation fields are harder to program with our set up.
