Reftab is Excellent Software

It is an awesome software and I urge anyone needing inventory or asset management to use this system. It is the best for functionality and for the cost

Pros:

Ease of Use Imports assets from an excel file as a CVS. This make data enter a snap. Inventory Management Assset Mannagement Tracks not only who has assets, but the assets availability (i.e., needing repair or functional) also cost, age, maintenance and repair cost. This is great for working with inventory. Last, they have awesome support group. They respond quickly and will provide one-on-one video call to clarify issues.

Cons:

Cannot print a list of items in a kit. Cannot convert template kit to kit. Cannot see kits when loan rights are through portal access. Cannot print accessories by category of accessory

Great New Asset Management Tool

I'd started w/ Reftab as a cloud based asset management tool for tracking and managing electric vehicle charging stations. I've also used Device42 then Insight by Riada as competing products because had developed integrations with Jira Cloud and Jira Service Desk Cloud for our task and service ticket management. Reftab continued to develop their product and has now integrated with Jira. Nice! The cost/month is currently less than 50% of the monthly subscription cost for competing products and the functionality and customer service are truly excellent for our asset tracking and management needs.

Great value for $ Integrates and Interacts with Atlassian Jira and Jira Service Desk (Provides link between the asset and any issues or tickets) Bulk Import of existing asset information from existing tools. Easy to setup new fields with different configurations. Good filters to find what you are looking for quickly. Mobile app/interface

Cons:

The initial product did not integrate with Jira Service Desk. Reftab has since added this capability and setup was reasonably simple.

We evaluated many SaaS asset management systems and reftab was far above for our needs. The product and support are excellent.

Pros:

Reftab is extremely easy to setup and use. Its numerous integrations with MDMs and Entra ID make it a wonderfully accurate asset management and inventory management. The learning curve is easy and the documentation thorough.

Cons:

Specifically for our college, we'd love to have a financial area where we can easily upload purchase orders and link them to assets.

Antiquated, on-prem, no option to electronically verify custody of assets.

Great product with room to improve

Reftab is a reliable and cost-effective asset management tool. The equipment signing feature is especially useful, and support is consistently responsive. While integration with Intune is helpful, data input still feels manual and some fields like RAM and processor don’t map correctly. It also lacks visibility into installed software.

The signing feature for equipment issuance is our favorite. It’s simple, efficient, and keeps everything accountable. The support team is very helpful whenever issues arise. Reftab offers great value for the price, delivering strong functionality without breaking the budget.

Cons:

The platform still feels quite manual when it comes to data input. Integration with Intune is helpful, but not all fields map correctly. Details like RAM and processor often don’t come through. It also doesn’t pull software installed on our computers, which limits visibility into our full asset profile.

ServiceNow is too costly of a solution. FreshService was missing several key features that Reftab offered.

We needed a cloud only solution. Lansweeper still required a server on-prem.

Thank you so much for your review! We’re thrilled you’re finding value in Reftab’s signing feature and support. Feedback like yours truly helps us improve. Regarding the Intune integration, the missing RAM and Processor data stem from limitations in Microsoft’s Graph API. Intune’s Physical Memory property currently returns 0, and processor details aren’t exposed at all. Because of this, we’ve removed those fields until Microsoft updates their API. We are actively exploring ways to use other Graph API endpoints to enhance data collection, (though this is a resource-intensive process) . But, your feedback reinforces that this is an area worth continued investment. Regarding pulling in installed software on computers, Reftab has the ability to do this with Intune. It might be that you don't have permissions set properly, reach out to our support staff and we'll happily get that setup for you. Thanks again for taking the time to provide your feedback!

Would highly recommend

Reftab fits the bill. Easy to use, customizable, able to automate. It's what I needed for IAM.I have implemented it for three different companies and have found it to fit those business needs each time. Departments can have the data they request in an easy report. I can automate audits and verifications. I can customize the end user notifications. It fits the bill.

Reftab gives me the granularity that I want, but the ease of auditing with automations. You can customize it to almost exactly what you need. Their support is awesome to work with and easy to contact. The product itself is visually appealing and simple to navigate for admins. The integrations alone have been a game changer for us.

Cons:

A lot of the cons are feature requests that I've put in. Generally its the lack of something existing that is a con to me. Or finding something that you wish worked a little better. none of them are deal breakers for me.

Reftab keeps track of our stuff and saves us money!!!

Overall it has allowed us to keep easy track of our computers, supply stocks, and made it easier to offboard people and make sure we get all of their equipment/ devices back. So in the long run probably saves us a lot of money which is huge for a non-profit like us.

I love the ease of use, customizability, and different use cases. Reftab allows us to keep close track of anything from high dollar assests, computers, monitors, and accessories, all the way down to product licenses and general supplies.

Cons:

When I connected our NinjaRMM it added a bunch of duplicate devices, most likely "user error". I think it should cross reference serial numbers, where a lot of our Dell's use the service tag which is most of the devices we have.

It is taking us a little to setup how we need it but that is due to lack of internal resources to dedicate to it.

The tool is very flexible and continues to add features and integrations often. I really like to integration capabilities, the software licencing management, the diversity in usage, and the price point is amazing.

Cons:

Would like to be able to brand and design the interface for color and logo. Not a big issue but a nice to have. Also the location options seem a bit limited. Not all items are assigned to a person so we are figuring out how to assign these things to a generic loanee for consistency.

Regarding changing the color and logo, you can do this by clicking Settings in the upper-right corner, then selecting Display (the option with the paintbrush icon). From there, you’ll be able to set your own color and logo.

The be all end all of inventory app

it's the central be all end all software we are using here for all assets management, software management, offboarding and onboarding stuff.

I am using Reftab since 2021 and IT IS one of the best, if not THE best user friendly webapp for assets management and inventory i ever work with

Cons:

the only cons was the green only color :D but now there is colors option! But to be serious, the are numerous changes and upgrade every now and then so i have no cons.
