About LogicalDOC

LogicalDOC is a content management solution that caters to businesses of all sizes across various industries such as information technology and services, oil and energy, wholesale and more. Key features include access control, communication management, permission management, file management, a drag and drop interface and customizable branding.

LogicalDOC provides users with pre-built templates for a variety of documents. The solution also provides tools to help users search uploaded documents, bookmark specific files, convert them into multiple formats, edit documents and import or export content from ZIP archives, e-mail boxes and desktop devices.

Additionally, LogicalDOC features version control, an integrated HTML editor, digital watermarking, optical character recognition (OCR) and multilingual full-text indexing. The solution can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud. Support is offered over the phone. One time, per-license pricing is available.

Logical doc, a secure platform to manage documents

It is a software that helps productivity supports various types of document formats, it can be integrated with various storage services.

Pros:

We have been using LogicalDOC for 2 years now which has given me a complete perpective, I can say that it is excellent for document management I like that it allows us to store, edit and share various types of documents online. It supports on-premises and cloud-based platforms, and integrates with popular apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, Outlook, and Microsoft Office. You can also use its security authentication feature to protect your confidential documents from unauthorized access, they are very concerned and careful about the security aspect, Logicaldoc has been a great tool for our workgroups who need to collabrate on different documents in a synchronized manner and efficient.

Cons:

It is a software with many tools, but it is not perfect, from my perspective there are some points that need to be improved, it is somewhat complex for people who do not have technical knowledge, for which they need training and an adaptation period, the installation is not as simple, it still requires technical knowledge, its interface needs to be more user friendly, there are other similar software that have a better UX than logicalDoc.

Full Featured Document Management System for a reasonable price

At implementation, we expected to put our complete document repository in the system. As stated, based on the functionality a few years ago, we cut back our implementation and only used the system for our accounting data.

Pros:

- The basic features of the system work well - When we implemented the system a few years ago, we tried using it to manage our office documents but did not like the workflow required to edit documents. My recollection is documents needed to be downloaded for editing and could not be done right from the interface. This may have changed - I can not comment on the current version as I have not looked at those features recently. - We use the system to store our accounting documents - the system works very well for that - we have no complaints - We store the documents and add tags to them for classification - When I've needed support, they were very helpful in solving my issues. Sometimes, the time zone difference gets in the way of quicker support

Cons:

- I've had issues with the search features not returning the expected results - The process to update the application could be easier - We tried to reduce the number of users and were not allowed to do.

Rewarding experience. It solved the problem of in-company file management and process management. is a no-compromise system to ensure everyone is independent in creating and managing files but at the same time being useful for others. The system dictates precise deadlines and workflows that allow an excellent organization of time. The saving of time in the search for information is considerable, as is the sharing of the same. LogicalDOC eliminates the use of mail for file exchange.

Scalable and highly collaborative DMS solution.

With Logical DOC I was able to share documents with my co-workers, document modifications, annotate references, verify versioning, and ensure company regulatory compliance safely and perpetually.

Logical DOC brings together the essential functionalities to comply with the regulations required by ISOs and ensure efficient document management. Collaboration, management, security and integration. The graphical interface allows to quickly intuit the tools and take advantage of the integrations between them.

Cons:

Assembling and maintaining the different technologies integrated into the solutions can be a problem. It is based on 3rd party solutions that require, in some cases to validate the operation with updates

Results are different to Xerox Docushare

We decided with the company I work with as freelance to migrate the old docushare version they had (6.5) to LogicalDoc as it offered most of the desirable features. The issue was that comparing the results having the same documents in the database and recently indexed, what prevented us to leave LogicalDoc as the replacement of docushare was that LogicalDoc showed different results. After this, we analyzed the documents presented thinking that maybe LogicalDoc had a better algorithm than Docushare, but unfortunately no, my client called it "inaccurate". The list of the documents presented by LogicalDoc missed the most important documents shown as the most accurate ones by Docushare. All documents stored had the following extensions: .doc, .docx, pdf, rtf. Thank you, Alexander Rojas IT consultant

Search is inaccurate compared to docushare. It doesn't display the most accurate documents based on the words searched

Unlike DocuShare, LogicalDOC has a more sophisticated search engine that depends on the language and is highly configurable with many tuning parameters. We believe you simply have to fine tune your installation to obtain better results.

Great Document Management Software--Give LogicalDOC a try

Very robust and versatile software that has made it so much more easy for our company to track our files and improve our workflow. It is user-friendly, so it wasn't hard for us to pick up on its most essential features. As if that wasn't enough, it also has integration with Google Docs and Dropbox, so we're able to cover every base and have multiple contingency plans!
