Software Advice lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. Users can talk to our advisors for free to receive software recommendations matching their needs. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to reach users interested in their products.
Software Advice carefully verified over 2 million reviews to bring you authentic software experiences from real users. Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
Researchers at Software Advice use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or talk to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.

Features
- It is such a phenomenally good Practice Management Software that makes my professional life so much easier and enjoyable! And it continues to get better - with the advent of AI and LEAP's addition of "LawY" I have access to additional very powerful AI tools giving me very impressive AI drafting and legal research without any increase in the monthly subscription!
- Every other case management system that I'm aware of has what I'd call a "matter balance report" this report lets you see everything that you need to know in one place and in my view is absolutely essential for the smooth running of a law firm. Whilst we've been offered a report via Power BI, this is extremely complicated to use, doesn't reflect true office figures and is just not good enough.
- Thread lacks customization options, which may be a drawback for some for some of our needs. But overall, it has improved our work.
- What I have liked the least is the lack of integration of Thread with other billing Software such as TSheets from Quickbooks, which we use to record time entries for our legal staff as well as run bills/invoices.
