  • I love the fact that Inventory can provide a dynamic list of endpoints that meet certain criteria (OS, software version, etc.) and present it to Deploy for software or script deployment.
  • To be honest, I am unable to find any drawbacks, except the Inventory not doing as good job with Windows 11 machines.

  • The thing we like the most about AWS Systems Manager is it's ability to manage and control our instances in one place across multiple accounts.
  • It does not have any options starting over where it fails and so you have to start Automation documents from beginning. And if your app or webservices heavily rely on AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store, then you would see lots of api throttling errors while getting values from SSM PS.
