The best construction software out there

It’s been great, there is always a learning curve when starting new software but Jobtread and there Custumer service help make the transition streamlined and provide countless trainings to get you up to speed.

Pros:

Jobtread has helped our residential remodeling company sell more jobs, produce them faster and with higher profitability. The customer service and community support behind the product is incredible. We use it from initial contact with clients, through design, the build process, change orders and even after close out to maintain relationships with previous clients. It has been a game changer for our small business. I cannot recommend Jobtread for enough.

Cons:

The only issue I have with Jobtread is that it wasn’t around years ago when I started into this industry. I can only imagine where my business would be today if it had been. The stacks of money and client list I would have…

Strong Core Small Frustrations

Overall i think Job tread is a good software product for people made by a company who i believe genuinely love their product and want to improve on it. If your are little more tech savy and want little more customizability there are points where you will run into and just scratch your head. I think the fixes to these issues are very simple and if implemented would solve many issues, at least speaking for me. I do recommend the software in general but depending on industry you may run into simple frustrations.

Pros:

I like the user interface and the bugfree software. The app is also very responsive and you are able to look at all the same info as desktop. The Estimation is decent as well and overall the software seems to be polished with a clean UI. The built in helpdesk with all the videos is also great and allows for easy learning without having to always figure stuff out. The customer portal is also very useful and a great feature for us and the client. The connection between takeoffs and estimation creation is also very useful. There are a lot of features and items within the software that i assume are very helpful for many people, even though we use only a few main ones.

Cons:

I feel as if there are some small items really stopping this software from being great. I always find something i think is useful but then i also find a limitation in which i am prevented from using it the way it would be beneficial for us. For example when I update a cost item in the Catalog it doesn’t update the pricing/quantities/formulas/margins in cost groups so that means I have to go through each cost group again and change it manually over and over again. The lack of message signatures and message templates means that you are constantly going back and forth copy pasting different premade messages, which adds a lot of friction. Similarly, document customization is near zero and i often find not being able to change logo sizes, fonts and anything else a detriment in being able to present a proposal. In Estimation, you cant just choose a item to hide or turn into an option, always have to go through the process of making multiple groups just to do one simple thing. In general its just simple items that alone dont seem a big deal but when you add them up it starts feeling as if you always have to find a workaround to what seems as a very simple solution and sometimes i just don't understand the logic in certain functionality on why it was chosen to be as it is.

It is simply the best software out there for remodelers, hands down! It's easy to use, full featured and fully functional, it has all of the features and integrations you need and the support is incredible!

Cons:

The user interface can be a little daunting, but you get used to it pretty quickly. BuilderTrend seemed nice because of the UI but JobTread just beats them out in so many other things.

Fully Customizable Project Management

Overall I've noticed Jobtread has helped my company grow and stay organized. I know there are still many features I'm not fully utilizing. The few features I am using have helped me to create a customer funnel and stay more organized with vendors.

Pros:

I love how customizable Jobtread is. I'm able to build a project management software that not only fits my business but also customize it to fit each customer.

Cons:

There are some features I wish Jobtread had. For example I'd like to be able to integrate both ways with Gusto (have my hours on Gusto sync over to Jobtread without requiring each employee to be a paid user).

Reasons for choosing JobTread

Builder trend was way too expensive. I don't recall why I didn't use BuildXact - I think it was the integration with QuickBooks.

Reasons for switching to JobTread

Buildbook was more expensive, very difficult to use, did not integrate well with QuickBooks. I discovered Jobtread and learned it had a lot more features at a lower price.

From Frustration to Efficiency — Our JobTread Experience”

I’ve used other CMS platforms before JobTread, but they all felt limited. After switching to JobTread, I’m finally able to start building out processes that match how we actually operate. The customizable templates and formulas have greatly sped up estimating and proposal preparation time. Being able to have documents e-signed without a third-party app and the QuickBooks integration that allows sending payable invoices directly from the app have been huge time-savers. The level of customization JobTread offers for project management and estimate creation has made it possible to truly document and refine our processes. The JobTread team is constantly striving to improve the platform, and most importantly, their customer support and community are outstanding — always ready to help.

Cons:

The way purchase tax for COGs is handled could be improved. There are a few small areas that could be refined for better ergonomics, but nothing major.

Platform was limited to how custom process creation and was slow to develop/improve new features.

What I love most about JobTread is the people behind it. The support team is always quick to help and genuinely cares about their users. You can tell they’re always working to make things better — the updates and improvements just keep coming. It’s also really easy to keep projects, estimates, and client communication all in one place. And honestly, the community of users is one of the best parts — everyone shares ideas and helps each other out.

Cons:

There’s a bit of a learning curve when you first get started, especially setting up your estimates and templates. But once you get the hang of it, it all makes sense — and the support team walks you through every step if you need it.

The Best Team AND Software

My experience with JobTread has been nothing short of outstanding. From the very beginning, the transition was smooth, and their team made sure we felt supported every step of the way. The first thing that stands out about JobTread is the people. Cons:

That it’s not perfect but nothing is! Honestly the only down fall I can see is selection but as me and Eric have spoke about everyone uses them differently. This is on the horizon to be a better side as well. They will be perfect before long with the team they have!

The Best Construction management software out there

I have loved using jobtread, minus the setting up for our business needs, but that is just part of customizing the system to suit our needs and is definitely worth the pay off.

Jobtread has helped us immensely with our estimating processes. Managing projects and leads with salesman has been really simple after customizing jobtread to fit our company needs. Im very pleased with jobtreads customer service they go above and beyond! They al very competively priced and offer way more than its competitors.

Cons:

There honestly isnt much to dislike. They are constantly improving when needs arise, they have a feature request system that helps show them what we would like added.

The value for money is incredible. It saves me hours on budgeting, estimating, and job costing. Very intuitive and the customer support is next level. They give you an account manager that helps you with anything you need. They are making improvements and adding features so the time. Love it.

Cons:

Their CRM is pretty basic. But you can augment it with Zapier. They are getting more into automations now and I would love to see some AI features in the future.

The alternatives were either too expensive, too complicated, or didn’t have all the features I wanted.

Excel was taking way too long and I constantly had to update and improve my formulas. Jobtread is way easily to update and way quicker to manage my business.
