About CrankWheel

CrankWheel is a screen sharing software designed to help sales teams connect with prospects and share screen to view presentations in real-time. Links can be shared via email or SMS and clients can join from any device, including mobile, without downloading an app.

The platform enables managers to schedule meetings, track attentive or inattentive customers and display specific content on the screen. CrankWheel allows team leaders to define role-based permissions among staff, gain insights into teams’ performance and review audit logs.

Meetings or stand-alone screencasts or webcam captures can be recorded and stored in CrankWheel's cloud. Recordings can be shared as sales emails with an animated video preview, with engagement tracking for video playbacks.

CrankWheel offers an application programming interface (API), which lets businesses integrate the system with several third-party applications including Zapier and Salesforce. Pricing is based on monthly subscriptions and support is extended via phone, email, knowledge base, video tutorials and other online measures.

Great extension for over the phone sales!

Pros:

I use this extension every day to explain different types of health insurance plans. This has been a life saver to help build value and credibility over the phone.

Cons:

It is slightly costly in my opinion, but it does get the job done and is very easy to use.

Pros:

The easy way to share my screen. It is very simple! I do not have to explain a potential customer, how the screen sharing work (and get him nervous even before I got stated do talk about my product :) The other person has just to click on the link. Almost every body is able to do that :)

Cons:

Sometimes (with companies working e.g. with sensitive infrastructure) the link might not get through the firewall (but I guess every other link won't work either).

Because Zoom was too complex for some of my customers. CrankWheel is so easy.

All Value, No Cost :-)

I am grateful for CrankWheel because it has created a lot of trust in my work. I do life insurance sales over the phone. It also helps me see clients' screens when they are having trouble with the signature process. Overall CrankWheel has been vital to my sales process being successful.

CrankWheel is very easy to use for both the client and the agent. It has an intuitive interface and loads in seconds.

Cons:

Sometimes it would be challenging for users to get back to the same link if they have clicked off of the site. Some of our applications require a text code so they would stray away from the website I shared with them and would have trouble getting back to it. In that case, I would send them a new link.

Crankwheel in the classroom

Using this for my visually-impaired students has been helpful. I appreciate that when used on the iPad, they are able to enlarge the screen to the size needed. One feature that is difficult is the timeout after 10 minutes if I am not clicking on something. With teaching, this is very inconvenient and time consuming to re-invite them throughout the day.

Feels Like a Teammate, Not Just a Tool

Working with CrankWheel feels more like having a helpful assistant than just using a tool. I usually start by choosing which screen I want to share, then simply click from the side panel to begin recording. It’s incredibly intuitive. I can quickly send an email to a client or a teammate to share my screen in real-time, just like that! Once the recording is done, I can easily send out follow-up emails with the recording. It’s smooth, efficient, and takes the hassle out of screen sharing. Easy-peasy!

What I love most about CrankWheel is how effortless it is to use. I can share my screen in just a few clicks, no complicated steps or setup required. Cons:

Since my computer runs an older browser, some features aren't supported. That said, I can still use CrankWheel without any major issues, so it's more of a minor inconvenience than a real complaint. 😉

Pros:

That I can send the meeting link via text or email! Gives me more variety for my age groups! this helps me have a smooth transition to screenshare.

Cons:

Sometimes it tries to give me a tour before using it, as if it doesn't recognize me. so i have to skip tour to begin, and do it again on the call after as well.
