Seamless Protection and Reduced Attack Surface with Timus SASE

5

Our overall experience with Timus SASE has been extremely positive. It’s straightforward to deploy and delivers key features—always-on VPN, Secure Web Gateway, and Zero Trust Network Access—without overwhelming complexity. By routing traffic through a single gateway, we’ve significantly reduced our clients’ attack surface and introduced tighter control over internet access. While there’s room for more granular web filtering and SSL interception options, Timus SASE continues to be a pivotal, highly reliable component of our cybersecurity stack.

Pros:
I like how seamlessly Timus SASE integrates into our security stack, providing always-on VPN, Secure Web Gateway, and Zero Trust Network Access in a single solution. The ease of deployment, combined with the ability to lock down SaaS applications using IP restrictions, has significantly reduced our customers’ attack surface. Additionally, routing all managed endpoints through a central gateway allows us to enforce security policies effectively, improving overall protection without adding complexity.
Cons:
Although Timus SASE is highly effective overall, I’d prefer more granular web filtering controls and the option to bypass SSL interception by category. This added flexibility would help us tailor our security policies more precisely to different user groups and business needs.

Our team enjoyed working with a growing company as they want us to be successful too. They work hard to make sure we have the right tools in place for our clients.

Best User Experience

5

We came across Timus while researching to replace the firewall we use for our current VPN solution. We decided to give it a try because of its Zero Trust solution, centralized management and advanced security features. In terms of cost, it is quite successful.

Pros:
All in one platform. ZTNA, SWG and Firewall Features are working on a single dashboard.
Cons:
Automation features are pretty nice but can be improved. The thymus doesn't leave you much to do. His artificial intelligence is trying to solve everything, but he better trust our intelligence too. I am generally satisfied.

Zero Trust Network Access is very important to us

5

We think our systems are more secure now, and we feel more secure as well. It is much easier to use than traditional firewall products and this saves us time. We think that the UTM or Firewall logic will be replaced by SASE and such products in the future, and we are actually investing in our future.

Pros:
Zero trust network access is now a very important feature for cyber security professionals, using ZTNA with a comprehensive perspective, and thus meeting the requirements of remote working with a single product with a single central management screen; We securely connect and manage employees, branches and headquarters.
Cons:
I think there are places where the user experience needs to be improved at the point of log reporting.

Reasons for switching to Timus SASE

We switched from the Fortigate 60E model. As I mentioned, we chose SASE because it offers newer technologies on a single platform based on management difficulties.
