The way of the future: Cloud base is where it's at

Overall, Akitu One meets and exceeds my expectations. The fact that this is Canada based is pretty darn awesome.

Pros:

Developers are very responsive to suggestions, they are constantly working to improve the program. Support is a simple phone call away, rarely do I have to wait long for an answer, especially if I email a questions to them. Super user friendly and intuitive. Reports are easy to generate to track everything. I am quite content with the fee I pay, it is reasonable and significantly less than the last cloud based program I used. There are no "add on" fees for 3rd party platforms either (ie. online booking or online forms). I've trained multiple front desk staff on this program, none had prior dental experience. They all picked it up very quickly.

Cons:

I would love to see a way to add units of time to planned unbooked appointments. That way patients can book an appropriate amount of time for online booking. I also use another platform for imaging as i find the xray filters aren't as crisp as I would like. However, I am confident they will address this issue as they are quite responsive.

My experience using Akitu Dental Software has been excellent. The system is user friendly, efficient, and thoughtfully designed for daily dental practice needs. How did I use any other software before this one?

I would recommended Akitu One to any dental professional looking for a user friendly, time saving and modern software. I wish we would have switched over sooner / heard about the software sooner but I am so happy we have it now.

Pros:

Very easy to use, even when we have dental temps in the office I only need to spend 10 min tops going over the software as it is so simple to navigate. Reaching out to patients for reminders, appointment changes and quick check ins is simple and quick and everything is documented. Managing schedules for multiple providers is streamlined, I can add multiple deposits at once and keep track of any outstanding collections easily, no need to hire additional support staff to keep track of daily clinical tasks. Any time we have called support for a quick question they have always been SO helpful and quick with their response time, we really feel well cared for.

Cons:

Small con, but because it is a cloud based software there needs to be internet for it to function. Sometimes if our internet is out we need to use a hot spot to access the software.

The cost was too high, did not come with a lot of the base features Akitu One came with and seemed more complicated to pick up.

Best software hands down in Canada!

After using AbelDent in dental school and private practice I have to say AKITUONE is so much easier to use. Dentrix is not any easier as well. I will not switch to any other software!

Pros:

Once everyone is onboard with Akituone the software is super user friendly. We love the updates because we can see that the software is getting efficient. Things that my receptionist wanted were gifted to us with over the air updates and she literally screamed with joy at the front. These updates are most welcomed!

Cons:

Changes to the software puts the team in shock and they complain but but after a few days everyone gets use to it and we love the updates. I personally wish there was a mobile version so I can view things on my cellphone.

Dovetail.CO was sold to dental planet and they shut the software down.

The ease of obtaining customer support, the charting is very simple, and creating clinical notes/ modifying them to your needs couldn’t be easier!

Cons:

Not really a true complaint, but if I were to say one there are too many options for my independent hygiene clinic, but otherwise no complaints whatsoever.

Not only is Akitu One feature-rich, but also I feel incredibly supported as an end-user. I am so glad our clinic made the switch!

Cons:

Nothing to dislike. There is a learning curve with every software so it just took a little time to learn to use the software effectively.

Great for being new to the software

Overall, so far as I am new is better than I thought. I felt the teaching was very beneficial as I am familiar with previous dental software's, yet, if I had no experience the learning would probably seem very overwhelming.

The one on one online learning. The fast response with questions. Customer support is great in response though not all issues fully resolved, but yet decipher in a different manner.

Cons:

Some areas of the software, has some glitches for example the medical history created I was told if too long the signature line will not print out, even though visible on the form. Still no results.

I’ve been a dental hygienist for 35plus years and Akitu One is by far the most user friendly software I’ve used! They are constantly adding new features and really listen to what their clients need! I particularly love the graphics on the odontogram. Their training is comprehensive and interactive and offer prompt and excellent support!

Cons:

I honestly can’t think of anything I don’t like! Especially now with the new clinical notes features.

Akitu One - The only dental software program clinics should be using!

I have said it before and I will say it again, every dental office should be using Akitu One! I have worked with many different dental softwares and nothing compares to Akitu One! It works for multi dental offices and it has truly been such a game changer for our clinics. Not only are we saving money with getting supplementary apps, we are saving time for our staff to focus on other things that are important. We recently got the new AI clinical notes and it is amazing! It saves everyone so much time and highlights the key talking points when reviewing patient clinical notes! Akitu One is always coming out with new things that make our day that much easier and make the day go smoother! I will forever recommend Akitu One to everyone!

Akitu One is very user friendly and there are so many helpful articles and videos for new users! The customer support team is always available and happy to help! The new AI clinical notes are a game changer as it saves so much time for the staff and gives important quick talking points when looking back at patient clinical notes.

Cons:

There is nothing to dislike about Akitu One. I have only ever had a positive experience with Akitu One.
