Pencil Project vs Visio: Which is best for you?

Pencil Project is free and open source tool that is very easy to use, I enjoy the fact that I can customize templates, create my own templates and it supports lots of file format.

Its been added to my designing toolkit because it's ease to use, customize, and its cross-platform support.

Having a degree of Project management and/or process management experience helps significantly in understanding the use of the different icons, although there are some very useful templates to help with creating your visuals.

Due to its pricing, Visio isn't available for our users by default (like other MS Office products, Word, excel, outlook etc.) and require purchasing of additional licenses.
