About OptiSigns

OptiSigns is a cloud-based solution that helps businesses manage digital displays for promotional content and advertising using text, photos, videos and other types of media. Key features include content scheduling, media library, automatic player updates and multi-screen support.

Designed for businesses of all sizes, OptiSigns lets users upload content in various formats such as JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, and MP4, along with the ability to operate screen displays remotely using mobile devices. Administrators can also customize business promotions with targeted playlists.

OptiSigns helps organizations handle content scheduling using multiple tools like recurring promotions, overlap promotions and time zone awareness to identify the best time to publish. Mobile applications for Android devices are also offered to remotely manage business activities. It is available on a monthly subscription and support is extended via documentation, phone, email and other online measures.

Pros:

Still as easy and straightforward to use as the day we implemented, does not require much attention.

Cons:

After using Optisigns for over a half a year I genuinely have no complaints about the service, we are very happy!

First 60 days with 60 screens.

Over experience has been top notch. I wish the pro player came with a remote and more info on processing power.

Pros:

Very flexible and fast deployment. Players pro and stick have a quick boot time with easy transport.

Cons:

Needs a better way to handle streaming. Ex. Making a channel guide for HLS streams with no duration to switch. No remote for pro player.

Reasons for choosing OptiSigns

Cost and features. Needed the a product that was able to stream HLS and RTSP.

Reasons for switching to OptiSigns

Cost and features were lacking. Took a lot of time to deploy and manage.

Pros:

OptiSigns is a really easy software to use and changing slides is easy and seamless with our workflow.

Cons:

There has been some display difficulties for PDF files with the way it renders longer presentations for digital signage.

Smooth Operating Sysytem

Pretty smooth and well run programming. The most issues I've experienced is either a broken or bad file not being displayed properly (which is usually not their fault), or a problem with Google Drive communicating with OptiSigns properly.

Pros:

It is pretty intuitive, and I like the ability to pull directly from a Google Drive. It is easy to manipulate and display things on vertically oriented tvs.

Cons:

It is really expensive for the service. We definitely under utilize the software and is able to do way more than what we need, which is nice, however we don't need the extras. So for the minimal use we need, it is an expensive premium. A lower cost, limited access, budget option would be nice and we would personally really benefit from it.

Easier to train others on the program, rather than running our own from a server.

Easy and Affordable Digital Signage

It was really easy to sign up and I was able to deploy optisigns to my devices less than one hour. This makes managing devices and multiple locations super simple.

Pros:

I loved the convenience of adding screens and content to the screens. It also is super easy to manage when I’m not at my computer.

Cons:

I’m yet to find something that I don’t like about Optisigns. I have used it for a month and it does everything I need it to do.

Reasons for choosing OptiSigns

We ultimately choose to use Optisigns because of the ability to work on AppleTVs.

Reasons for switching to OptiSigns

We switched from Playlister because it was expensive and not mobile friendly.

Overall Optisigns is very easy to use and efficient for digital signage. It allows me to quickly manage multiple screens with differing content.

Pros:

The ability to use the Canva tool to put presentations straight into digital signage. The device management is also very intuitive and easy to learn.

Cons:

For the news widgets I didn't like the filters you can use. as a college i was looking for some type of filter to protect us from sensitive topics popping up.

Apple TV integration made it more efficient for us.

Cons:

OptiSigns Deployment

It's been a good experience, very easy to setup and got up and running in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend.

Intuitive interface makes setup easy and quick. Managing the devices remotely is also a breeze to do.

Cons:

Device is a little big and is visible on some of our tv's depending on usb location. Definitely something to consider if there is little space around the display

OptiSigns has been a very useful part of our day to day operations at Old Guard Games! Easy to use and requires very little training for any employee to get the hang of.

OptiSigns allows us to change our in-store marketing easily as well as use non-marketing materials like special event codes without any complicated software.

Cons:

OptiSigns has a lot of app integration, but it is hard to get it to do something relatively simple in terms of video - playing a YouTube video or playlist.

Best value for digital signage software.

We are very happy with our digital signage in our office lobby and Optisigns has proven to be the best bang for the buck!

the value for the money and ease of use. Dashboard is easy to navigate. Very user friendly and intuitive interface

Cons:

there could be more customization of templates or more templates would be nice. Slight learning curve with the more advanced features.
