About Beefree

Beefree is a cloud-based email marketing solution designed to help businesses, agencies, freelancers, nonprofits create, edit and store content in a centralized repository. Teams can organize and distribute work in multiple projects and invite colleagues or clients to review, collaborate and approve designs.

It includes a drag-and-drop editor, which lets stakeholders communicate by leaving notes or comments on ongoing threads, search for project-related conversations and resolve threads once the design is finalized. Agencies can create separate accounts to manage emails, pages, clients, users, content and styles specific to brands. Additionally, administrators can specify and allocate editing, review and approval rights and permissions among users based on their roles.

Beefree facilitates integration with email service providers, which allows teams to quickly export and circulate designs across networks. It is available for free and on monthly subscriptions and support is extended via documentation FAQs and support forum.

A Powerful and Beautiful Email Solution

I’ve been using Beefree for about three years, and in that time, I’ve designed roughly 200 emails with it. I can confidently say it’s a powerful tool that has saved me countless hours. It enables me to go from idea to a beautifully designed email incredibly fast. Since my work style prioritizes efficiency, I deeply value every minute it saves me. One of the best aspects is how it allows me to create templates for other leaders in our organization. These templates often make their emails look far more professional than they could achieve on their own, which has earned me a reputation as a go-to resource. By leaning into templating, I’ve developed options for nearly every situation, including row templates that let me quickly prototype new ideas when needed. Overall, Beefree is likely the best email creation tool out there. It’s a game-changer for anyone looking to combine efficiency and professional design.

Pros:

The ability to get a great number of templates as well as create my own templates for various situations. I'm also able to create row templates to allow for rapid prototyping of new emails quickly.

Cons:

Somewhat rarely I get disconnected from the servers and I will lose a minute or two of work that has been done. It's annoying, but it's pretty rare.

Beefree had all the features that others had, but had more templates and worked with our existing tools.

I can create a wide variety of email designs without coding！

I like the fact that you can create beautifully designed HTML emails without any coding knowledge, and it's also very convenient that it supports not only HTML but also PDF as an output format.

Cons:

I am Japanese, so if there were more fonts available that supported Japanese, it would be even easier to use.

The Worst Customer Support I've Ever Seen

We like the product and wanted to purchase. We submitted for a nonprofit discount and the customer support went from bad to unbelievably awful. I clearly stated up front that we operate under a DBA but I waited days for responses to simple questions. Our nonprofit status was unofficially denied. I was finally contacted by what seemed to be a customer service supervisor referencing two options for us to still be approved under a DBA. When I replied asking for the procedure and what steps I needed to take next, he never replied. It has been two weeks. During that two week period a sales rep reach out and asked if we were "interested in upgrading". I said yes and asked if he could help me straighten this all out and he failed to reply as well. This has been the worse customer service experience I had ever had.

I loved the editor: it had the features we needed and played very well with Mailchimp.

Cons:

They broke bulleted/numbered lists into a separate text box which makes text flows very awkward.

We receive a large number of requests from nonprofits that wish to use BEE Pro free of charge, so the delay in the response could simply be due to that: it takes us time to review those applications and confirm the nonprofit status. Emma was too cumbersome to work with. Beefree was easier to make changes and manage a group account.

I like how easy it is design well made emails. Naturally, your email will look professional in BeeFree. There's freedom to make any kind of email you want, inspiration from templates. It's approachable and easy to learn and integrate with sending services.

Cons:

The photo editing portion. Cropping photos or brightening a quick photo is not as easy as I'd like.

Not enough creative freedom to design within mailchimp.

Beefree is the best email builder I've used as a marketing director.

Beefree has been my go-to email builder for years. It's intuitive, easy to use, and helps me execute my clients' visions every time.

I've been using beefree for several years, spanning many different industries as a marketing director, and bar none, this has been the best email builder I've used. It speeds up my designs, and I love its customizability. If the platform doesn't integrate with the CRM directly, you can export the HTML. I don't see myself changing ever.

Cons:

I haven't experienced any negatives except for the odd time of it not loading my content swiftly but it's a minimal lag.

Beefree is a MUST for design and marketing teams

We've been using Beefree for over seven years and it just keeps getting better and better. We use it as a design tool because it's just so easy for non-developers. The asset library and template functionality is great as is the ability to quickly export to our sending platforms in a click.

Excellent! Beefree has made campaign building very efficient.

Excellent. The builder is quick. The ability to re-arrange responsive email is very helpful. Any time I've had a technical question, I get speedy responses. This has save us a lot of time, especially when we need custom looking emails to be produced quickly.

Speed, cost, and clean code. Other drag-and-drop builders created code that didn't render well in all client email apps. We have a large user base that are Microsoft-based and use Outlook. And all email marketers know that if some design or code will break, it will be in Outlook. Using Beefree solved that for us. The code is clean for Gmail, Outlook, and all other clients we've tried.

Cons:

None. The product is updated regularly with new feature releases, so there aren't any real cons.

Reasons for switching to Beefree

The internal builder in Constant Contact is good, but Beefree is faster and offers more options (like stacking direction, padding options, mobile vs desktop visibility).

Does the job with style

In a field where it is increasingly difficult to distinguish one's product, Bee offers solid functionality, a friendly user interface but above all, a great customer service experience. You feel like someone is listening and responding on the other side.

Depth of integration with other vendors and excellent customer service.

Cons:

Challenging to switch between different linked corporate accounts when multiple people need to use the product. Version history gave us some issues but was quickly worked on by Customer support.

Reasons for switching to Beefree

Mailchimp just didn't cut the mustard for us anymore, we needed something with better integration, easier to use especially for multilingual content.
