AmpliFund is a web-based grant management software designed to help education, healthcare, government and non-profit organizations handle recipients and subrecipients, streamline administrative tasks and maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines. Key features include grant award tracking, collaboration, contract management, due date tracking, impact measurement and payment tracking.

Grantmakers using AmpliFund can collect and publish applications, automate review processes and streamline data collection and reporting. The application allows grant seekers to define program requirements and performance objectives, research and find new grant opportunities according to defined criteria and analyze and track grant success using interactive dashboards. AmpliFund Has Transformed Our City's Grants Management

AmpliFund's entire team is top notch; their customer service is personable and solution oriented. Their software has honestly changed how our City manages grants.

Pros:

We are a local municipality and AmpliFund hit every one of our wishlist items. It is compatible with Oracle, we were able to customize almost everything, and we could use it for grant making and seeking. AmpliFund is a must-have tool for any organization that is managing a large amount of grants. It is user-friendly and the AmpliFund team is amazing! The implementation process was the smoothest process I have been involved in during my 10 years in local government.

Cons:

Most everything is customizable, however there are some standard fields that cannot be removed.

Amplifund Review

Overall experience has been great. Mainly due to the exceptional customer service. As with any change, we did experience some growing pains but in the end the system has proven effective.

Amplifund's features encompasses all of our desired functions for research, development, performance, reporting, and different ways to pull queries of grant information.

Cons:

Sometimes the system runs a little slow. The search feature is not user friendly.

Reasons for choosing AmpliFund

It checked more boxes for functions we were looking for. While it was not the least expensive option, it was also not the most expensive option.

Promised the moon and failed to deliver

Tech support was not responsive. Their initial response was to always give you the instructions in their printed material even if you indicated that you had tried this solution and it had failed. Several time we described specific issues we had encountered and were told the software couldn't be doing what we were saying--deleting information on its own, changing currency values. However when we were finally able to do a screen share with their tech support and showed them what we were seeing they finally believed us. The tech support was slow to respond particularly when issues were elevated to a higher level. There was no progress reports on the issues and when they finally did get back to us more than a month later we would have to figure out which issue they were finally addressing. The company CEO, when we were finally able to communicate with him was very responsive and wanted to correct the situation but even after that the sales person still did not clearly comprehend how bad the product had been for us to use. I would not recommend this company or this product.

The only functional piece of this software that really helped our agency was the application process. We had been doing paper applications and Amplifund did allow us to make this process all online and much more streamlined. We had some issues with reviewers not having the right permissions and having to call several times to get this resolved but this was a beneficial feature.

Cons:

First the proposal and the sales people assured our agency that the specific functionality the we were require the software to have--mainly being able to produce a report which would include subrecipient expenses being rolled up into the parent grant budget reports. This was never available and we were promised that we would have this 2.5 years ago. Next we were told that the application we were taking for subawards would automatically be connected to the parent grant so that information put into one system would be reflected in the other. Also this did not happen until the second round of applications. The first applications had to re-entered into the grant management system by hand. Finally the grant management module never worked for us. We were never able to create any of the reports that were suppose to be available. When we created reports according to their instructions no data was shown. When they made system upgrade information was lost or made inaccessible following the upgrade. Amplifund in general actually made it more difficult for us to manage our subrecipient awards that the excel spreadsheet we had been using. I would not recommend this product for managing subrecipients

Amplified for an Education-focused NPO

Overall the training and assistance our organization received before implementation was extremely thorough. We found the Amplifund team to be committed to finding resolutions, committed to ensuring we understood the training and committed to our organization's satisfaction with the platform. Post-implementation that has not changed.

Pros:

The tool's expense tracking portion was our organization's main selling point, but tracking goals has been an added benefit when writing grant reports.

Cons:

In the beginning, the expense importing was a bit challenging because of the system limitations of our accounting software. Integrating that software with the grant management tool would greatly help this often time-consuming process.

The Amplifund platform was better suited to serve our critical needs at the time than the alternative products.

Great option for Grant Management

It has been great. It has made things like annual audits so much easier. It has likewise helped us centralize all of our grant documents.

Amplifund is a great tool to track grant applications, due dates, expenses, and many other grant-related tasks. Our organizations Grants Department is small, and AmpliFund has helped us expand our capabilities without having to hire additional staff.

Cons:

It can take a while to get used to the system, even with training.

Solid system, many features for the money

This provides a full grant cycle system, from application to post award closeout out; the configuration of the application is pretty intuitive; There is a ton of flexibility in the configuration of the applications.

Cons:

There are some limits to the layers of information available to some users; the data tables that collate information behind the scenes are very complicated, and have a lot overlap so when querying out information for a report it is difficult to find the fields you are looking for; the custom reports feature was an additional cost that was not clear when we first signed on with Amplifund, rather, the "ability" was there when we asked these questions.

Essential Tool for Grant Management

AmpliFund has made audit preparations easier and ensures that we don't miss grant reporting deadlines. It is easier to run a report of active and pending grants and track annual grants over multiple years. Without AmpliFund, we were relying on spreadsheets and paper processes which took much longer and left too much room for error. The support staff of AmpliFund has been amazing and very responsive.

AmpliFund has allowed us to create a permanent grant record that multiple users can access. We depend on the workflow and tasking features to maintain compliance. This has allowed us to manage over 100 active grants with better consistency.

Cons:

AmpliFund continues to build out their platform with more features. When we were building our grant management page, we had to conform to the template and then build out added features. This is helpful but isn't always the most user friendly for our departments to complete.

AmpliFund Review

Before we used this system we tracked all our grants due dates by Excel and there was no budget info tied to it. Now we can manage everything from one site. I can print budget details for grant reports, which makes it much easier to manage.

Terrible software that gets worse with every update

This software did not do what was promised and continues to disappoint. Every update makes it more complicated to use, and their servers are too slow. I use other Grant Management software that function much faster and have customer support to solve your problems immediately, where as amplifund will have multiple tickets open that never get resolved, or will call me for a phone consultation, see the problem, tell me they will work on it and then I never hear from them again. They are cocky in their sales pitches and will try to sell you on what their program can do when it actually can not do anything. their messaging system does not work, their calendar feature does not work, exporting reports and documents constantly has errors, budget numbers will suddenly change or disappear completely.
