Mint is my favorite place to keep track of my family's budget

Very positive. Used it for years with no plans on changing.

Pros:

My family has used Mint for years to keep track of our personal budget. The integrations that it has with my banks has been instrumental in helping my family manage our finances.

Cons:

At least for the personal finance aspect, it is heavily focused on monthly expenses which makes it slightly difficult to keep track of expenses that are not monthly such as insurances which are bi-annual or annual. They have improved their budget keeping to allow for rollovers which is how we keep track of those expenses that are not monthly but I still wish I could set an annual budget for those expenses

The best money management tool

I use Mint to help meet my financial goals, such as saving for a home down payment. It helps me see areas where I could do better as well as areas where I am doing fine. It's simple, integrated on your phone, and best of all it's free.

Pros:

Mint is a fantastic and free tool for managing your money. It allows you to gather all of your financial accounts in one place so you can accurately track your net worth over time, as well as serve as an easy tool for budgeting and expense tracking.

Cons:

Mint does have some intelligent tracking of purchase categories, but it seems like it hits a point where it doesn't try very hard. I have to do quite a bit of manual recategorizing, even for regular purchases.

Reasons for switching to Mint

I wanted a secure tool that was purpose built for dealing with financial accounts.

Pros:

I love how easy it is to export financial data into excel to further analyze. I also like the built in graphics and reports mint gives to help me get a quick understanding over my financials.

Cons:

I am not a fan of the goal setting feature. It sets it up as a contribution that comes out of my budget, but I would like it more if it takes the net income and applies it to my goal.

Best Free Budgeting App

I used Mint for years and was very happy with it. It was great for aggregating all my financial data into one place.

I love how simple Mint was to use without having to read or watch tutorials. It was very intuitive and user friendly. It was fabulous especially considering it was free.

Cons:

I only disliked that Mint was eventually sold to Credit Karma. Otherwise, I didn't have any dislikes.

Great alternative to expensive accounting software

I am loving this software. I was hesitant at first after using another software for years, but I was pleasantly surprised and how much I love it and how easy it is to manage my finances.

I was vert impressed with how easy this software is to set up and use. Very self explanatory. I love that they monitor your money and your spending and alert you when thigs don't seem right or when you go over budget.

Cons:

The automatic assignment of some accounts is inaccurate

The best thing about mint is that it is FREE. I have used Quickbooks and Freshbooks and had many issues with them.

Cons:

I haven't found any issues so for using Mint. You can do basically most thing that you would pay for on mint and its free.

Freshbooks had issues staying connected with my banking.

best budget I've used before it closed down

Best budgeting I've ever used. Easy simple, straightforward. And best of all free. I would've paid a fee to keep it going.

The budgeting, and it was free. Was able to connect nearly all my accounts to it (except PC MasterCard)

They shut it down. Couldn't connect my PC MasterCard.

Mint has become extinct, and merging with Credit Karma

I really sucked, and was very outdated compared to other products that I have tried.

Pros:

Only pro is you can import all of your data and financial info to mini and they move it to TurboTax without any hassle

Cons:

The program it's self is old outdated and has gone out of business, and merged with Credit Karma. So now I have to use Credit Karma for all of the things I once used Mint for.
