About N-sight RMM

N-sight RMM is an IT management platform designed for remote monitoring and management of devices, users and endpoints across physical, hybrid and cloud environments. The platform includes remote management features with monitoring and alerting for operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS.

It offers automated patch management that functions both within and outside of networks. It also provides drag-and-drop automation with a library of preconfigured scripts. Secure remote access is available with attended and unattended options, using encryption and multi-factor authentication.

N-sight RMM includes a ticketing and billing system to help manage service desk workflows. Features include automated scheduling, tracking and a customizable customer portal. The platform performs continuous network device discovery with performance monitoring and automatic asset detection.

SolarWinds RMM (formerly N-Able) is a great RMM tool

Great solution for an RMM tool. The management of the alerts and system is the best overall of the competitors. Would recommend as long as the PSA tool links to it well.

Pros:

Very intuitive interface and easy to learn. Easy to navigate and manage individual endpoints and quiet noisy alerts. Great integration with direct hardware monitoring as well.

Cons:

Remote access software has historically been an additional feature. Very competitive market and some aspects are not the "best" in the market, including remotely connecting to computers. SolarWinds is also only breaking into the PSA market so there is not a direct connecting service to link on day 1 without looking at other vendors.

Reasons for choosing N-sight RMM

SolarWinds is a great RMM tool and can be linked nicely with Connectwise Manage. ConnectWise pushes hard to force the linking of Control, which makes this a difficult decision.

N-Sight RMM's overall Features and Support have been important to our Company.

We started with N-Sight over 10 years ago, before it was called N-Sight and our relationship seems to get better with age. Our success manager and solution engineers are keeping us on top of things so we can grow our business.

Pros:

The easy to understand Dashboard Layout, the support we receive from N-Able's Partner Success manager and Solutions Engineers and the N-Sight features are always improving.

Cons:

The script checks fail when the script itself times out which ends up being a false positive.

Usable dashboard that is always getting better

My overall feeling is that there are probably better products out there, however the time and money to switch over is impractical. So i feel we are somewhat locked into the environment HOWEVER the customer service is great and they do seem to value our input and opinions and are always working towards making their product better for us. I have no doubt that with time this will be a very useful product and overall we are happy with them.

Pros:

I love that they are always improving their products and offer a comprehensive suite of applications. The installation of the package is pretty straightforward and quick and once added to the dashboard it gives you good insight for maintenance and options to remote in or run custom automation.

Cons:

Theres a pretty steep learning curve and certain actions are often difficult to find and/or modify. The integrated patch management is really bad and theyve yet to roll out a fix for the fact that it actually blocks automatic windows updates and forces them to be done through the console manually for every client device. The lack of cohesion between all the modules is inconvenient, cove backup and sentinel are entirely separate dashboards than the main console. Sometimes the agent install just doesnt work despite installing properly and giving now feedback as to an error. Automation is convoluted to configure and deploy but they do have one of the best customer service teams I've dealt with

Promising but not everything I hoped for

EDR is disappointing. patch management has too many errors. Support is frequently useless.

Great RMM with most features you're looking for!

Overall I really like N-sight. support is pretty readily available if needed. I would recommend it to other MSPs

fairly intuitive, easy to use for the most part. Mostly easy to understand and get all the information I care about in one pane.

Cons:

Some information is hard to find. Not as many features as some other options. I'd like better lifecycle management and integrated support features with external sites for different manufacturers like Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc.

More features and cloud managed. Our previous N-able was an onsite deployment that ran on our hardware. Not having to maintain our RMM solution has been a huge time saver.

N-Sight bundle is a great way to get started.

I am ok with the support. Everything seems to work just fine for what it is. Customer support is good and they are constantly offering training sessions and tools to help make the platform easy to understand.

Pros:

It is a simple turnkey solution for starting MSPs. It comes with an rmm, a basic crm, and take control for those clients not in your rmm.

Cons:

It is limited on the crm side of the house. Msp manager could use some work to be great not just good.

Its doesn’t change so no need to learn anything or get used to changed features.

Cons:

Its development is stalled. No customised reports or api access. Be nice to be able to see windows 11 compatibility or force upgrades to win 11

Great RMM part of a superb IT support suite

Its a solid product with great support, i use the rest of the n-able suite and everything integrates really well, my client admins like it too and they have adopted it as their main tool for monitoring, support and asset management

Overall it t has been great, products work well. Good value for money when you concise the extras given and how the dashboard brings info from other products too.

It integrates very well with all other N-able products and some third party too. Plus support from a really good when you need it.

Cons:

Getting pricing for other products are not easy to access. Have to contact account manager for each there is no set price list for everything.

N-Sight Fit for all MSP

Have used it for since early development and continue to see improvements and features that generally are on the flagship produce N-Central that has more advance features. Overall for a hosted RMM it does a good job

Easy to use, pretty good set of features, no need to host or maintain environment and relatively reactive and fast to use.

Cons:

Because it is online only when there is no internet then we are not able to get access to the dashboard.
