Highly Flexible MRP

This is the second company that I have successfully deployed MieTrak Pro at; and the second company that has seen immediate results and improvements to efficiency and profitability. Their support team is quick and responsive and I have seen many features that we have requested be implemented over the years.

Pros:

One of the largest advantages over other software is the support included as part of the annual support agreement. The software receives constant updates and improvements and you can always ticket the support team for help. These updates lead to new features and ways to manage production. Ultimately, this fuels continual improvement within the organization with new ways to better capture and maintain production data. However, the dynamic nature of the software introduces some challenges when something is changed or broken.Our team just rolled out an update to our barcoding system including product images on our inventory labels. This is just one recent feature rolled out in a 2023 update that we have turned into a time-saving continual improvement project.

Cons:

The heavy customization of MieTrak opens up when you have staff that are knowledgeable about SQL and report writing. While MieTrak support will write custom reports and scripts; new users of the software would see much more creative use of the tools within MieTrak if their own staff understand the underlying system.

Reasons for switching to MIE Trak Pro

After a previous successful deployment it was the go-to choice to recommend to my team. The ease of implementation and knowledge in the system allows for considerable customization. I knew that it would be able to handle our quoting, manufacturing, inventory, and accounting and remove excel spreadsheet crutches from our operations.

Efficient and increased our job transparency

The customer service of Mie Trak Pro is amazing! They were very helpful with importing all of our data from our old ERP and accounting system and have a responsive team. We really love the fact that we have ONE system now instead of duplicate entry into multiple softwares.

Pros:

The single most liked feature of this software for me is their integration with other software database systems. Mie was very helpful in getting the data flowing between Pronest and Mie Trak Pro. The last company we used before wouldn't lift a finger to help get customized communication, but we were able to get it up and running after a meeting or two. Another thing I like about Mie Trak is how they have so much information on each page. You can use your arrow key or mouse and scroll down through RFQ's, orders, items, PO's, etc and look over each of the said objects. We also really like how the Mie Trak does the time and material collections on each work order, although we haven't fully implemented that feature yet.

Cons:

It took me a while to understand how each item has a quote and router associated with it on manufactured items. We manufacture custom parts, so we enter new part numbers daily. You need to create a new item, and generate a quote from it to where you will enter manufacturing details to create your cost. After, you win the job, you will need to then create a router from the quote so your work order can pull those details. I'm not sure why the work order couldn't pull the information from the quote directly, but there may be reasons I'm unaware of. In the past we were accustomed to sending emails to the customers with their bill with a payment link where they could enter ACH or credit card information and pay that way. We can still email our customer's invoice within the system, but it would be nice for Mie Trak to have a system that could do that.

MIE Trak Pro - Highly recommended.

I have had a great overall experience with the MIE Track team. [sensitive content hidden] was great to deal with though the sales process and their technicians are well versed in the integration. We are yet to complete the integration of MIE Track with our online sales which believe this will bring additional efficiency to processing our sales.

I Love MIE-Track

MIE is an experience by itself. It can be a simplistic or powerful to integrate. It allows you to choose which modules and capabilities that are important to your organization. We currently have not integrated the accounting module because our CPA has a proprietary application. The more time I spend with MIE and the great people on the support line, I find that you are never finished with the implementation. I now know all the talented people at MIE including [sensitive content hidden] and others. They always assign my tickets to the most informative person for the subject, and the response time is very fast.

Pros:

The features in MIE that I love the best are the work orders with bar codes. This allows the plant workers to easily log in /out of the various sequences. Prior to MIE we had painful hand written time sheets. Other great features is the shipping/invoicing that can generate 100s of shipping labels in minutes. The inventory module is simple and updates inventory in real time. I really love the daily back-ups so I feel our data is always secure and protected.

Cons:

I struggled with the quoting module at first to allow the material cost to be nested across parts for real costing, however MIE is not a post processor and we use SigmaNest for nesting.

Reasons for choosing MIE Trak Pro

The Sales Manager [sensitive content hidden] and I hit it off immediately and he knew the application so well instead of others sales people who do not use their products. [sensitive content hidden] customized a local training opportunity for us as well. The price point was reasonable for a small precision metal fabricator, compared to other ERP systems that are 50K plus with no cusotmization.

It's extensive and covers most of what you'd need to do in an ERP system. Customer support is readily available.

Cons:

Not intuitive, takes a long time to learn, too busy, slow. Although customer support is available my experiences have been mixed, the techs are too fast on their end and assume you know everything they're doing and talking about, didn't end up helping me.

MIE Trak Pro

Although we are still in a relatively infant stage of our MIE Trak Pro journey, we are already reaping the benefits of having a flexible, user friendly ERP system. We have a clear vision of where we want to be in terms of MRP and works order management and we have every confidence that MIE Trak Pro and its excellent support team will help us to achieve those goals.
