About ApolloLIMS

ApolloLIMS is a laboratory information management system designed to help clinical, toxicology, pain management and public health laboratories of all sizes. The platform helps users automate manual work such as specimen processing, testing and reporting.

ApolloLIMS enables users to interface with and automate instruments of clinical chemistry, gas/liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, hematology and genetic analysis. The core components of ApolloLIMS include specimen processing, quality control, results processing, customer service and management reports. It uses a versioned database which lets users check original and historical data at the same time and can be used for audit trails.

ApolloLIMS’s Outreach Web Portal provides users a secure and HIPAA-compliant web platform. The solution is available on-premise or can be hosted as a cloud-based SaaS offering. It also supports data from transfer from TCP/IP, RS232, ASTM or file-level interfaces.

Pros:

LIMS is a lifesaver for our lab, it help us trace down data or test done in the lab. It helps increase productivity (Old method to print out batch record and hand write returning. There was more chance of error. With LIMs it error free) , help manage workflow and efficiency in day to day operation.

Cons:

It can be costly and lengthly especially when lab is new. Enhancing an iPhone app for on the go access and usage
