Fantastic product. Expertly supported and amazing highly knowledgeable technical support. Their internal cyber intelligence team, the folks that research the zero day, unpatched risks, are top notch and always have current relevant answer and intelligence about any threat. That service alone is worth the cost to a small sized over stretched IT department.

    Pros:
Seamless implementation of Protected DNS, keeps our users from accidentally visiting malicious sites, and effectively blocks call back to malicious command and control sites. Next level protection. If I had to choose only one defense out of our 6 or 7 layers of edge defenses, ThreatStop is the ONE I would choose.
    Cons:
Integrations with our WatchGuard firewall was not straight forward or as tight with other vendors (Cisco) firewall solutions. But it is a completely workable. For some cost might be an issue but the significant amount of risk that ThreatStop neutralizes out weighs the cost.

Reasons for choosing ThreatSTOP DNS Defense

Best product on the market. Better features and top level support. ThreatStop is their core basically only product, where other vendors offer PDNS solutions that are an optional or non-core part of their product line up.

The technical pre-sales team was amazingly helpful, given the slow pace of a Government customer thru the pre-sales phases.

    Pros:
The software is amazingly effective requiring a minimal staff workload, yet, is an amazing risk mitigation package. It provides quantitative analysis that is easily understood by non-technical decision makers (this is an AMAZING value add in and of itself).
    Cons:
There isn't much to NOT enjoy about the product

Reasons for choosing ThreatSTOP DNS Defense

Threat Intell Database update cycle, ease of use, the applications vendor hardened OS, amazing palate of integrations out of the box. there's alot to like.
