About Together Mentoring

Together is a cloud-based mentorship management solution that helps users to set up and administer a mentorship program. It helps businesses to automate the mentorship program workflow including registration, scheduling meetings, progress tracking and reporting.

The registration process allows program administrators to send personalized registration links to each employee. Employees can submit their details and enrol in a mentorship program. The solution can optionally use a pairing algorithm based on employee inputs and organizational data to automatically pair mentees with potential mentors.

Together can automatically schedule sessions for mentors and mentees, or provide prompts for the mentor and mentee to schedule manually. Employees can reschedule meetings, and notify one another about schedule changes and modify mentoring goals over time. Reporting and analytics features are also available.

The solution is offered on a per user per month subscription basis. Support is offered via phone and email.

A Valuable and Insightful Mentoring Experience

Overall, I’m very glad I had the opportunity to participate in Together Mentoring. It was a meaningful, insightful experience that helped me grow professionally and personally. The guidance, structure, and conversations were all extremely helpful, and I would gladly recommend the program to others.

Pros:

I really appreciated how Together Mentoring helped me think more strategically about planning for the future. The sessions provided clear guidance on how to anticipate challenges, tackle issues as they arise, and stay focused on long‑term development. The structured support and thoughtful discussions made the learning experience truly valuable.

Cons:

The main challenge for me was dealing with the time difference, which sometimes made scheduling a bit difficult. In addition, the sessions occasionally felt too short for the amount of discussion and learning I wanted to dive into. A slightly longer format would have made the experience even more impactful.

Amazing experience in mentorship

My overall experience has been very positive. Both my mentee and I are learning and growing as we proceed together through this program. It has enriched my work experience and provided me with a new purpose, meaning and motivation on the job.

Pros:

This program has brought me together with someone I would have otherwise never have met within my company. It has given me the opportunity to offer my experience and insight to him. As he progresses through the program, he makes connections with the information I offer and his experience and career goals. He works to develop an approach and achieves his goals and grows through our meetings. This has been a wonderful collaborative experience. I am happy to say both of us are learning and growing from our time together in this mentoring program.

Cons:

Some of the premeeting preparation tools and question lists are not the best for everyone. Particularly if you find yourself outside of your area of expertise. Perhaps if the program included more information for people who may need to learn a little more prior to teaching/delivering this information to a mentee that would help. It might fit nicely under an additional/supplemental information button or tab.

Connections process is liberating for the user!

This was private and seamless. I didn't mind have an automated email sent to me. I imagine AI probably was used and that's ok. It's great that there is an AOM contact if I have glitches to overcome, which I did when I noticed that neither my Zoom nor my Google Meet would connect with the system. The HELP Q&A section wasn't working. I've met with my mentee about 7 times so far over the past 3 months and it was transformative.

THe connection to my Google calendar that I can move to a different time if I need to in future. The linking and introductions were great. We didn't have too much back and forth but were introduced quickly after making a decision.

Cons:

The platform doesn't connect with my institution's Zoom conferencing platform. So it's 2 steps to to add a new Google calendar invitation or simply always use the same Zoom room.

Reasons for switching to Together Mentoring

The midwife-student BIPOC mentorship program I had developed for my school was no longer sustainable and could no longer be staffed by the school. The alternate peer mentorship model in the university did not serve the purposes.

To connect with others RH

I'm new to the organization, and I eager to look for someone that is able to navigate me through the cultures in here. I love the setup and how easy it integrate with the other collaboration system inside the organization. It help me to schedule a meeting with people easily, and track my progress throughout the journey.

Cons:

Not really anything come to my mind so far. I think the experience of using the tool need to be very depends on the input, luckily we have a full list of people that we are able to connect internally.

Gives the new employee guidance, someone to ask questions to and share direction. Tasks were provided and completed. If I did not know how to follow through, I was provided screen shots and stepped through the process.

Cons:

It would also be nice have a mentor in my department to provide team Collaboration. Also, this would be a quick assist for the learning curve.
